We are unmatched and will allow your child to develop at their own rate and continue to be challenged. CSA is also the ONLY recognized club in Calvert for all the local and top level leagues (NCSL, EDP, BBSL, CMSSL, ...). We look forward to having you join us.

CSA Summer and Fall Recreation Registrations OPEN

CSA Summer and Fall Recreation Registrations are now OPEN !!!

CSA is always looking for ways to improve its programs and continuing on its past success has introduced changes for this upcoming 2018/2019 seasonal year and also announces its first ever Summer Indoor Futsal program. CSA will be celebrating 35 years this season and wants to celebrate with all of our members. Look for more information coming out for our year-long celebration.

Changes for this coming year are finalized. We are again offering both Fall and Spring together due to the success of last year but this year we are adding a Fall Championship Tournament in addition to the Spring Tournament Festival.

We are also showing appreciation for our volunteer coaches. Starting with the Summer Futsal season Head Coaches that sign up will get a 50% credit of a single regular registration fee per player for each team they are selected to coach. The credit will be given once the season starts. We will still continue to use the same coach selection criteria as in the past. Sign up during early bird and the refund will still be for 50% of the regular registration amount making it even less for your player to participate.

The last change is a major shift in team formation. CSA has utilized many different methods in the past all with some success. We are hoping that we can bring them all together and put a system in place that satisfies everyone’s needs as best as possible. We have seen great success in this system the past few seasons for our U19 age group and are now expanding the process to the remaining age groups except for Toddler, Tykes, and U5/U6. U7 through U19 age groups will now be formed through modified draft. Players that come to evaluations will be allowed to be selected directly by head coaches. Players that do not attend will be placed by random drawing based on the order of draft. Teams that do not have a coach at the time of the draft will be placed by a club official. Only requests that are entered into the comment section of registration will be shown to coaches during the Draft.

Sign up early and get the early bird discount. Sign up for both Fall and Spring together and get a better discount. CSA is proud to offer our programs and resources to the youth of Calvert County. All proceeds are used to benefit those programs including CSA Park and CSA Fieldhouse. Don’t forget to like us on Facebook for all the latest information.

CSA Fieldhouse & Park Update

CSA FIELDHOUSE & PARK UPDATE

CSA Members,

CSA is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with the owners of the building at Bugeye Square for CSA Fieldhouse to remain open. As most are aware the former Landlord ceased operations and left the building back in March. Since then the building owners have allowed CSA to continue operations and we now have an agreement to not only utilize our current space but also additional adjacent space.

This is a big deal for the Youth of Calvert County. This facility is sorely needed and there were and are no other plans for a facility like this in Calvert County. We not only support our own needs but the needs of other youth sports like Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, and fitness training. We are able to expand our own programs and provide additional opportunities for our children who need them and provide opportunities for adults in those same areas. We will have Teen Nights, Bingo and Summer/Winter Leagues and Camps. Rooms for Birthday Parties and Meetings are also available for rent. For more information on how you can rent the facility email and look for information on programs in email and on our websites. Don’t forget to like our Facebook pages for program announcements.

In other exciting news we have planted grass on the first phase of CSA Park and it has started to grow in. Our plan is to have established grass on the field for the coming fall season. This project started over ten years ago when we bought the sixteen acres and has sometimes had to wait behind other needs but has always moved towards a single goal. Pray for rain (but not enough to close fields) and we can’t wait to see families out there.

With these types of opportunities come challenges. The benefit of sharing cost with others helped tremendously to keep fees down. Because of this we hope that our members will continue to support our programs and participate in special activities that are designed to help keep the lights on and pay the rent so we don’t have to raise fees. It really is that simple. We also have opportunities for businesses to participate as well. We are grateful to those that already provide assistance to CSA and we need that support more than ever. Our Youth depend on it. Anyone looking to place business information inside the Fieldhouse can contact the email above.

CSA is a non-profit 501c3 public charity run by volunteers. We are always looking for others to help us out and work with the Board of Directors or Committees. Please consider volunteering and to the many that already do, Thank You!!!

Best,

Mark McCormick, President CSA
