With the closing ceremonies under amazing blue skies yesterday for our in-house rec program, our Fall 2016 soccer season is now officially over! Charlestown Soccer thanks all of our incredible volunteers and volunteer coaches who commit their time and efforts to ensuring the success of our community program. It is through their hard work that our membership has grown to almost 400 players allowing us to provide youth soccer opportunities for the past 14 seasons. We would also like to thank Bunker Hill Community College for their generosity in providing access to their grass fields for our in-house program. A few closing notes are listed below which may require your attention:
Field Space: As we move into the future there are challenges looming that impact on our mission to provide soccer to all the children in the community. The proposed scale of the One Charlestown project and its maximization of buildings at the expense of open space, particularly field space, presents a serious challenge to our community and to our mission. Charlestown Soccer is your program and if you share our concerns please express your opposition to the current plans directly to the city before the deadline of November 23 by going to the following website:
Registration: Please remember to register for the Spring season as soon as possible. With 400 players in our program we need ample time to be able to plan for the Spring season to ensure an organized, efficient program. Late fees kick in on December 16. For our travel program anyone who registers after our teams are submitted to the league in January is not guaranteed a spot and will be placed on a waiting list. Scroll down on the registration page to find your program:
Merchandize: Also please check out our store for Charlestown Soccer merchandize. If you are looking for gifts for the holiday season, consider a Charlestown Soccer backpack, pom-pom hat, jacket or shirt.
Registration is open for Spring 2017 Travel and In-House Program
Spring 2017 Travel and In-House Registration is now open to all interested players. Note that a late fee for the travel program is applied starting 12/15/16, due to a need to plan and submit rosters to the Middlesex Youth Soccer League well ahead of the season.
