Welcome to the Charlestown Youth Soccer Association
Charlestown Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) was formed in March 2007 in order to bring soccer to the youth of Charlestown. CYSA provides over 300 registered boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 14 an opportunity to play organized soccer. Our mission is to introduce to the youth of Charlestown, Mass., the game of soccer through the development of individual skill, fitness, teamwork and fair play.

Charlestown Soccer forms teams with comparably skilled players so that each team can develop as a group and compete against teams of similar ability. Any player that elects to play Charlestown Soccer will be placed on a team that is appropriate to their skill level. Players are placed on teams through a combination of placements, coach evaluations and team formation meetings.
While we will do our best to place all players who register, we cannot guarantee a spot on a team for all players in the event that we are over-subscribed. Tryouts are generally not conducted for the Spring season but may be necessary under certain circumstances, for example if there are too many players for a team. All completed rosters for the Spring season will be posted on our website in January.
In the event that the program is over subscribed, players will be placed on a waiting list. Priority for placements for Spring 2015 teams will be given to players in the following order: returning players from the Fall; Charlestown residents; players from outside Charlestown who have played with Charlestown in the prior Spring season; players from outside Charlestown who have not played with Charlestown in prior seasons.
CYSA wishes to thank Amy and Joe Slesar for opening up their lovely home to host our Fundraiser last Saturday night. It was a beautiful evening and really fun event. We had a wide range of attendees from parents with children who have aged out of the program to those with young players, Parent Coaches as well as non-Parent coaches, new board members and former board members, neighbors and other folks wanting to enjoy the party and support a worthy cause.
Money raised from ticket sales, on-line donations and pledges made at the party for silent auction items (Boston Sports tickets and soccer summer camps) as well as for items on our Soccer ball money wish list make it possible for CYSA to fund our Fall-Winter-Spring programs and support scholarships for players in need. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Thanks also to those that volunteered their time with pre-party set up, post party clean-up and food donations. Again, Joe and Amy – Beer Works beverages and food were delicious! Everyone pitched in to make this event a success.
If you were not able to attend Saturday, you still have time to donate. We are very close to our target goal, but need your help pushing the ball over the goal line. Please consider making a donation by clicking on the link below. Thank you very much.
Sorry to send a 2nd email but I wanted to clarify my earlier email message about "unused" uniforms.
I should have said, we are looking for any uniforms you are no longer using. We understand that they are used/worn. That's not a problem. If they are torn or stained, you can just discard them. But if they are in reasonably good shape, we'll take them! :)
Bring them down to the soccer shed/bin. Thank you!
