A total of $5,000 dollars has been awarded to officials attending the 2017 US Lacrosse National Convention in Baltimore, Md., Jan. 20-22. The quantity and amount of each scholarship, which ranges from $150 - $275 is determined by the applicant’s district (men’s game) or super region (women’s game).
Congratulations to Andy Cecil, this years Kentucky Chapter recipient!
Madison County Lacrosse Association is seeking a head coach for their boys high school team, The Madison Mavericks. Practices will be conducted in Richmond, Kentucky and all home games are held at the Madison Southern High School Football Stadium in Berea, Kentucky.
This is the team’s third year and the program has progressed in numbers each year. Last year’s team had 27 players. This season the unit looks to grow again. The nucleus of the team is comprised primarily of sophomores and juniors with significant high school game experience and many are playing travel and/or fall and summer lacrosse. The team draws players from both Richmond and Berea.
Pay for the position is negotiable and commensurate with experience. There are also funds available for an assistant coach. Coaching expenses will be paid in addition to salary. The previous coaching staff are members of the board and can provide whatever level of support the new staff desires. Parental support for the program is active and outstanding. Goals for this emerging program are ambitious but realistic.
If you would like to interview for the head coaching position or desire additional information please contact Madison County Lacrosse Association President Wesley Browne at 859-582-3903 or email
