At last night's MYBA Board Meeting the Board again approved a change to the registration requirements for the Pinto (Teeball) league in an effort to expand the program to younger kids. Effective immediately players who turn 4 on or prior to April 30 this year are eligible for the program. If this applies to you, please sign your player up on the website or as part of the walk-in registrations on Sat Feb 18 and Sat Feb 25.

Dear Morton Youth Baseball (MYBA) Friends and Supporters,
Another amazing season of baseball is in the books for MYBA. Our 2016 season was successful in so many ways. This year’s fabulous weather not only showcased one of the best baseball complexes in the area, Westwood Park, but afforded us the opportunity to develop over 550 youth throughout the season’s 450+ baseball games and countless practices. The ability to maintain this level of quality does come at a cost. MYBA invests ~$400 per player each year, but with the support of our local businesses we can keep the player registration fees to approximately $125 per player. This would not be possible without your continued support.
This year we are getting a leadoff toward our Fundraising and Sponsorship initiative. We must admit, last year were a bit lax in demonstrating the value for our sponsors’ investments in our program…. that will not happen again. We know you are asked to make donations throughout the year to many worthwhile organizations so we are reaching out much earlier than in the past to get in front of your budget planning for 2017. Our new fundraising committee is energetic and plans to maximize the value of your contribution through updated signage and banners at the fields, updating and sharing social media on a frequent basis, and increasing overall awareness of our sponsors well before the season begins.
We have a couple of changes with this year’s enclosed sponsor form. We are excited to announce that MYBA is now a 501(c)(3) organization so your donations are all tax deductible!! We are also offering a GRAND SLAM option that will provide maximum exposure to your organization by “owning” your own field for the season.
The committee is also looking at fresh ideas and opportunities for future sponsorship options such as in-house team jersey sponsorships, vendor / kiosk stands at MYBA tournaments, and whole tournament sponsorships. Stay tuned!
We can’t thank you enough for the generous support that MYBA has always received from the community and look forward to our future partnership. Any amount is gratefully appreciated and even the smallest donations will receive MYBA website recognition. Please let us know if you have any questions and we will be following up with you in the upcoming weeks.
