2017 MYBA Sponsorship Drive

Dear Morton Youth Baseball (MYBA) Friends and Supporters,

Another amazing season of baseball is in the books for MYBA.  Our 2016 season was successful in so many ways.  This year’s fabulous weather not only showcased one of the best baseball complexes in the area, Westwood Park, but afforded us the opportunity to develop over 550 youth throughout the season’s 450+ baseball games and countless practices.  The ability to maintain this level of quality does come at a cost.  MYBA invests ~$400 per player each year, but with the support of our local businesses we can keep the player registration fees to approximately $125 per player.  This would not be possible without your continued support.

This year we are getting a leadoff toward our Fundraising and Sponsorship initiative.  We must admit, last year were a bit lax in demonstrating the value for our sponsors’ investments in our program…. that will not happen again.   We know you are asked to make donations throughout the year to many worthwhile organizations so we are reaching out much earlier than in the past to get in front of your budget planning for 2017.  Our new fundraising committee is energetic and plans to maximize the value of your contribution through updated signage and banners at the fields, updating and sharing social media on a frequent basis, and increasing overall awareness of our sponsors well before the season begins.

We have a couple of changes with this year’s enclosed sponsor form.  We are excited to announce that MYBA is now a 501(c)(3) organization so your donations are all tax deductible!!  We are also offering a GRAND SLAM option that will provide maximum exposure to your organization by “owning” your own field for the season.

The committee is also looking at fresh ideas and opportunities for future sponsorship options such as in-house team jersey sponsorships, vendor / kiosk stands at MYBA tournaments, and whole tournament sponsorships.  Stay tuned!

We can’t thank you enough for the generous support that MYBA has always received from the community and look forward to our future partnership.  Any amount is gratefully appreciated and even the smallest donations will receive MYBA website recognition.   Please let us know if you have any questions and we will be following up with you in the upcoming weeks.

Please click on the MYBA Sponsorships button in the upper right-hand corner of the MYBA website for more information.  https://mortonyouthbaseball.org

Sincerely,

MYBA Fundraising Committee

MYBA Endowment Fund

MYBA Families,

This past year, MYBA spent approximately $343 per player.   Since we only charge $110 for an in house player, we are constantly looking at ways to raise money to keep our fees low and our facilities and services top notch.

Later this month, we will be reaching out to businesses to help raise money for our organization, while helping the businesses advertise at our complex and on our website.

Another way, we are raising money is through our partnership with the Morton Community Foundation.  This year, MYBA established an endowment fund at the MCF, which will provide a long-term income source while growing the principal balance in the fund. This fund will provide a revenue stream now and for future generations.

In order to grow the fund, we are reaching out to the families and alumni of MYBA asking them for a small donation of $5 a month for the next 12 months.   If only 100 people are willing to do this, we would raise $6,000 for the foundation.   Any donation would be welcome, so if you wish to give more per month or a one time gift, that would be welcome.  Your gift will be tax deductible.

Please consider giving by one of these three ways.  First, by going to our endowment fund page on the MCF website at https://mcfmorton.networkforgood.com/causes/5773-morton-youth-baseball-association-myba-endowment-fund

Second, go to the fundraising folder on the MYBA website at  http://leagueathletics.com/Documents.asp?n=32870&org=mortonyouthbaseball.org  and fill out these forms and mail in your donation.

Lastly, stop by the Morton Community Foundation office at 105 E Jefferson St.

All donations, big or small, will make an impact for every player.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 309-642-0008 or e-mail me at    In addition, feel free to visit www.mortoncommunityfoundation.org to learn more about the Foundation or call Scott Witzig at the Foundation at 309-291-0434.

Sincerely,

Tim Taylor
