Hi Families, as we have moved to a new registration system, we are going through some growing pains. When we migrated your child's information over to the new system, we did not include date of birth or gender. The registration system requires both to be updated in order to meet the base qualifications.
So, if you run into a RED ineligible box, please run through the following steps to resolve and register.
Example Ineligible box:
Click on the Ineligible box and enter a Date of Birth:
Click submit and you should see a green eligible box:
UPDATE: A couple of families have helped identify a hiccup with registering. We have resolved an issue which showed up as some player profiles showing 'ineligible' when a gender was not set within the respective player profile. If you were not able to register, please try again. Thanks!
Hi RCGSL Families, Wicked registration is now open at http://assn.la/Reg/?r=1:131720
Wicked Fastpitch Program Fact Sheet
You must participate in the RCGSL spring program to have the opportunity to try-out and play on Wicked Fastpitch (there is an exception for past RCGSL players on HS teams trying out for 14U).
All players interested in the Wicked program must pre-register for the try-outs at www.rcgsl.org. Log in using the same account as for the Spring season, click on Register, select your player and pre-register them for “Wicked Summer 20134” by 5/3/14. All players are placed on a waiting list until team selection (at no cost). Players who played up in Spring rec ball must register and try out with their age appropriate group. Only players selected to a Wicked team will clear the waiting list following the try-outs.
All players interested in the Wicked program must try-out:
Try-outs for 8U will held at Adelante Upper Field on Thursday May 1st at 5:00 PM.
Try-outs for 10U/12U/14U will be held Sunday, May 4that Woodside High School – schedule for each age division will be announced
Pitchers and Catchers -All 10U/12U/14U pitchers and catchers must be at Woodside to try out on Sunday May 4 at the designated time; there will be no make-up evaluations for pitchers and catchers.
Make-up day for all divisions is Tuesday May 6th (location t/b/a). However, if your player is available on May 4 you must bring her to the main evaluation session.
Benefits of the Wicked program
Top Instruction: Wicked players attend focused practice sessions with seasoned coaches, which allows them to significantly improve their skills. This will benefit them during the following recreational league seasons.
Competitive Play: Wicked Fastpitch teams will have the opportunity to play by the official ASA rules increasing the level of competition as compared to the recreational program. Players will experience the excitement of tournament play!
Life Skills: Wicked players grow personally; they gain significant leadership and team building skills.
Community: Wicked families on each team spend a lot of time together over the summer. You get to meet new people, have interesting conversations, and new friendships are formed.
Commitment to the Wicked Fastpitch program
ALL PRACTICE SESSIONS AND TOURNAMENTS ARE MANDATORY. Players who make a team via tryouts and can commit to all practices and tournaments will be given priority. A player who discloses a specific absence from the program in the Wicked Fastpitch application form will be eligible for consideration for Wicked. However, that player will likely be considered if there are not enough players to fill a team’s roster.
All Wicked Fastpitch families are required to perform 6 hours of mandatory volunteer work during the RCGSL Summer Slam tournament (July 18-20). Volunteers can include parents, the player herself, any siblings who are old enough, and any other family members or friends. Failure to perform volunteer hours will result in the player forfeiting eligibility for the Wicked program the following year. Volunteer hours and schedule will be communicated and assigned the week prior to the tournament.

The estimated registration fee for Wicked Fastpitch will be $275 for the 8U program, and $400-425 for older divisions. The final amount will be communicated by the coaches at the first team meeting. A payment of $200 (credit card or cash) will be due within 24h of player’s selection.
On behalf of RCGSL, we would like to extend a huge thank you and shout out to the Woodside High School girls softball program, specifically head coach Mike King, his assistant coaches and the players, for running such a great clinic for our RCGSL players yesterday. We are working with WHS to make this an even bigger and better event for upcoming seasons.
