Grass fields are infield dirt only today - Weds. March 5
Per RWCP&R, our grass fields (Kennedy and Adelante) are limited to the dirt infield areas today. No practice activities are permitted on the grass areas in the outfield. They will require at least one more day to dry out. Hawes is open for practices on both the dirt infield and turf areas.
The RWCP&R fields hotline is updated daily as conditions warrant. The phone number is 650-780-7389.
Due to the rain we have had and the upcoming forecast, the grass fields are not going to be playable this weekend. It's also not feasible to have opening ceremonies at Woodside with the number of people we would have trampling the grass fields.
Accordingly, we are making the following schedule changes --
*Opening ceremonies, pictures and the hit-a-thon will be held Sunday March 16 - ceremonies will begin at 9 am. More details will follow. We will play games prior to that date as scheduled (except for Saturday-see below) but we'll use that date for our ceremonial opening.
*Minors and Juniors games for Saturday at WHS and Adelante will be postponed. We will make these games up once the weather improves and we get on to daylight time.
*We will try to play Seniors and Majors games at Hawes - start times will be 1 p.m. (RC Sinister 14U vs Millbrae Passion), 4 p.m. (Majors Crush vs Eliminators) and 6 p.m. (Majors Ninja Turtles vs Dirt Devils). If the weather cooperates, do come on out and watch some softball!
