RYFC 2013 Season
Welcome to the 2013 Ridgefield Youth Football & Cheer season!
Depending on which program(s) you will be registering your children to participate, you will find all the needed information located by program on the website.
Registration fees are in place through June 15th, then late fees will be added to both Tackle Football and Cheer. Don't delay registering your child and take advantage of current fees.
RYFC is a developmental league and are focused on building skills, game knowledge, sportsmanship, being a team player and community pride!
As such, we are always working to better integrate our program within our community and as such, after unanimous decision by the board of directors, we will no longer be known as the Ridgefield Raiders but instead will now be known as the RIDGEFIELD TIGERS!
We offer a variety of programming for both boys and girls and invite you to be a part of what is sure to be a wonderful season on and off the field.
TACKLE
For 3rd through 8th grade players, the Ridgefield Tigers are registered with The Fairfield County Football League (FCFL). Ridgefield will compete with tackle football teams from Darien, Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Westport, Weston and Wilton.
FLAG
For 1st to 4th grade players. Flag Football is for Ridgefield residents only and there is minimal travel associated with flag football participation. Due to high demand and the RYF maximum roster for a flag team we suggest that you register early to guarantee team placement.
CHEER
All children who are entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2013 up to 8th grade are welcome to register for cheer for the 2013 season. We are happy to announce that our Cheer Program now offers both sideline and competition squads. To be eligible to participate in competition you must participate in sideline cheering. We are currently working on our competition program. We will forward you more information on competition prior to the opening of registration.
All registration must be completed on line, with the exception of the mandatory medical/emergency contact form signed and stamped by a doctor to be returned by mail.
All REQUIRED contact information, registration and release forms need to be completed and submitted online before your child can receive his/her equipment and uniforms.
Only medical/emergency contact form needs to be mailed to:

ATTN: Registrar of Football OR ATTN: Registrar of Cheer.
Without proper documentation including the medical form, no participant will be eligible to receive equipment AND will not be allowed to practice until the forms are complete and submitted to the proper registrar. There will be no exceptions.

KEY 2013 DATES
April 15 – Registration Opens
June 15 - Regular Registration Ends; Late Registration Begins (Late Fees will be assessed)
August 19 – First Practice for Tackle and Cheer (5 nights a week for 2 weeks)
August 19 – Registration closes for Tackle and Cheer
August 31 – Jamboree Weekend for Tackle ; First Flag practices
Sept. 7 – First weekend of games for Tackle and Cheer; First Flag games
Oct. 26 – Last Flag games
Nov. 2 – Tackle playoffs begin
