Welcome to the new home of the Vernon Hills Sports Club and Vernon Hills Community Baseball and Softball (VHCBS) Organizations. Our organizations are committed to providing quality youth sports programs in Vernon Hills. Our programs include Basketball, Poms, Football, Lacrosse, Community Softball, and Community and Travel Baseball. We are in the process of updating our website with both content and branding for each organization which we expect to complete over the next few months.

2015 Travel Basketball Tryouts Information
2015-2016 Boys Feeder Basketball Tryouts Announced
We are excited to announce information about our upcoming Cougar basketball season. Depending on numbers, we hope to field two teams each in the 4th-8th grade levels. Tryout dates are as follows:
Boys 4th and 5th Grades
September 27th, 2015
3pm-5pm at VHHS
Boys 6th-8th Grades
October 18th and 25th, 2015 at VHHS
6th – 3:30-4:45
7th and 8th – 4:45-6:00
Please use the online registration process to sign up for tryouts. There is a $20 tryout fee which includes a Cougars tryout jersey that you keep. Other frequently requested information is as follows:
- 4th grade plays in the North Suburban Basketball League, which runs from November til March.
- 5th-8th plays in the Northern Illinois Feeder League (5th may play in the North Suburban League), which also runs through early March. Games for this league will start in December, but all teams will practice during November.
- 2014 fees for 4th grade were $435 and 5th-8th were $535, which include uniform. Any changes to 2015/16 fees will be communicated by the time of tryouts. If your son makes a team, payment in full will be required before the season begins.
- Practices will be held in VH school facilities; home games will be held at VHHS with IHSA certified officials
Registration for Fall season lacrosse for all age levels (1st - 8th grade) is now open! You can find more information at the below link. Please note the Fall season is recreational based so all interested players are encouraged to participate.
