On Tuesday March 6th, two of our PeeWee A’s were able to go to the New York Rangers game and be “Flag Kids” before the game. They went out and flew the Rangerstown Flag and got the crowd pumped up, then gave the Rangers players knuckles as they took the ice before the game. Congratulations to JJ Alling and Bruno Martone who went and participated. Special thanks to the New York Rangers and Junior Rangers for letting us partake, a memory these two will never forget!

West Haven Youth Hockey, along with other CT hockey organizations is taking special precautions for the next few weeks due to an increase of influenza (flu) in the State of Connecticut.
The most vulnerable are the elderly, the very young, and people with chronic illnesses (lung disease, cancer, diabetes and heart disease). However, everyone is susceptible.
To help us prevent further spread of the flu among our families, we please ask that you do the following:
If you or your child is sick with a fever, do not attend practices or games. Please wait until you or your child has been without a fever for at least 24 hours.
No sharing of water bottles during practices or games. Please have players bring their own water bottles (with their name marked on them).
Wash your hands frequently using antibacterial soap or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Please have players leave their gloves on during the end of the game handshake line.
Wipe down or wash all hockey equipment after all games and practices.
Thank you for your cooperation. West Haven Youth Hockey
Thanks to the New York Rangers and Junior Rangers for inviting our Squirt B team to Madison Square Park in NYC for the NHL Centennial Tour. They played street hockey and also got to meet and take pictures with the Stanley Cup!
An unforgettable experience!
WHYH would like to congratulate our Mite A Team Jake Newkirk for being able to go to the New York Rangers Junior Rangers Kids Day, as a part of our partnership with the New York Rangers and Junior Rangers.
On Sunday, November 26th, Jake went on the Madison Square Garden ice before the game against the Vancouver Canucks, and stood on the blue line with the Rangers starters for the playing of the American and Canadian National Anthems. Since signing our agreement, we’ve had a Rangers Skills Clinic for our travel team players, and Jake participated in Junior Rangers Kids day.
We would like to thank the Rangers for letting us participate, and look forward to working with them again in the future!
