Start Date:    Sunday, November 6th

End Date:    Sunday, December 11th

Location:     Somers Sports Arena

The classes will be broken down into two groups:

  • Group 1 - 5 to 6:30 pm: All 5th grade players and all 6th, 7th & 8th grade players with less than 2 years of experience
  • Group 2 - 6:30 to 8:00 pm: All 6th through 8th grade players with a minimum of 3+ years of experience playing lacrosse.

No matter which class your daughter is in, these classes are designed to bring her game to the next level.

These classes will focus on the following concepts:

  • Advance stick work. Working on proficiency of throwing and catching with BOTH HANDS looking to improve their attacking skills.
  • Stick work relevant to attacking such as feeding, dodging and shooting.
  • Focus on team play concepts in relation to their teammates, focus will be not only on offensive movement but also defensive responsibility.
  • Shot placement and ball release to increase scoring potential.
  • Focus on small number scenarios working up from 2v2 to 7v7 teaching how to attack and defend in each situation.
  • Different types of offensive structures and ball movement.

Girls should expect to work hard and will be doing repetition as a way to build strength and endurance with their stick work.  Lacrosse is a very “technical skills” oriented game.  To become a better player you need to work on the same skills over and over so they become second nature in a game situation.  This training session will offer great instruction with hundreds of reps.  The sessions are designed for serious players who want to take their game to the next level.

Limited to (25) players per group.  Sign up now to secure your spot, when maximum number is reached we will have a waitlist.  All players must have a valid US Lacrosse number and appropriate equipment:

  • Goggles
  • Stick
  • Mouth guard
