Florida Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Showcase Update
The Owls are proud to announce the hosting of the Inaugural Florida Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Showcase designed to highlight the talent of ACHA players and promote the growth of hockey.

The Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles and the University of North Florida Ospreys have committed and we have already fielded a lot of inquiries.

Tournament to be held November 13th – 15th, 2009 at Incredible Ice, 3299 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs, Florida 33065. Open to ACHA DII and DIII teams.

The rink is conveniently located close to the Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport and the Palm Beach International Airport. Tournament fee is $1,000.00 with a 3 game guarantee. Awards for winners and finalists along with a skills competition, tournament apparel and action photography.

Incredible Ice - New Home of the FAU Owls
 
The Florida Atlantic University Owls are pleased to announce that Incredible Ice in Coral Springs is their new home for the 2009-2010 season.

Incredible Ice is currently a 75,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, twin ice skating and entertainment facility.  The expansion of Incredible Ice to three sheets of ice will make it one of the only triple-ice facilities south of Washington, D.C., thereby continuing the building’s commitment to being one of the top ice facilities in the country. 

Incredible Ice has been named one of the "Coolest” rinks in America by the American Hockey Magazine as well as one of the “10 great places to cut a fine figure eight” by USAToday. Over 500,000 people visit Incredible Ice each year.

We are very excited to be skating out of Incredible Ice and look forward to packing the house for our home games!

Welcome to the Florida Atlantic University Hockey Team's official website. The Owls currently skate every week to continue through August. Please see the FAU Owls Training Program Section for information.

The team is currently putting the finishing touches on the 2009-2010 schedule that will be released soon, and making plans to make next season even better then the last.

FAU OWLS TRAINING PROGRAM

 

The FAU Owls Training Program will be moving to its new location at Incredible Ice beginning Saturday, June 6th, 2009. There is still practice this Thursday 05/28/09 at 8:20 p.m., at the Palm Beach Ice Zone.

The cost is $20.00 if paid in advance, or you can pay a $25.00 "Drop In" rate. All players must pay prior to coming on the ice with no exceptions.

High tempo practices with a focus on individual skill development in the critical areas of skating, passing, and scoring.

 

Team Concepts that have been and will be utilized by the Owls during the upcoming season.

 

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS WILL BE LIMITED:

We will be limiting the number of participants to ensure that we run a quality program where all will be involved.

 

Note – Any profit derived from this program will be used to offset the costs associated with running the Owls program for 2009-2010.
