Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to the Tri-Town family!!

There is a lot to be thankful for, and today we get together with friends and family to give thanks together for all we have. Don't forget to be thankful for baseball and softball!!

We are thankful for home runs, double plays, Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays.
Extra innings, pennant races, but not bad hops off faces.
Line drives, game winning hits and first basemen who can do the splits.
Power hitters, off speed pitches, bruises that have baseball stitches.
The hit and run, the suicide squeeze, stained baseball pants from bloodied knees.
Speeches at the hall of fame and girls who come to watch me play.
Doubleheaders on sunny days, but not so much rain delays.
The moments when the infields in, fastballs, and a whole lot more.
That is why baseball is what we're thankful for.

Look for info coming soon on registration for Winter Workouts for Little League Baseball and Softball.

Snack shack

Volunteers for the snack shack, in an effort to be more organized. The snack shack on Saturdays will now be using a sign up genius. If you could sign up online so we can assure that the snack shack is always open and fully staffed if would be greatly appreciated!

Each time slot is an hour, people that have worked in the snack shack before have commented it that things go smoother if you can sign up for two hours at a time it creates a smoothness to the process. My thought was that if you can sign up for two hours a couple of times a month and everyone does there part we will have no problem staffing the snack shack with out burning anyone out. I know everyone has very busy schedules and if that means you can only do an hour here or there that would be great too. All you have to do is sign up by following the link. I know we have a lot of new families and families that are moving up, if you have not helped in the snack shack before I promise you it is not difficult or scary (even the fryer and other cooking is not complicated), everything can be explained by the prior shift or myself (even better some of our veteran snack shack volunteers).

*Weeknight games will still need to be staffed by parents of the teams with game six or practices that night, just as it was in previous years.

So please take a look at your calendars and follow the link to help out to make this a success. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.

Thanks again

Update on the new 2018 USA Baseball Bat Standard

Hello Tri-Town!

Little League® International has assembled an online resource page dedicated to baseball bat information, that includes the latest bat information, current Little League Baseball rules and regulations governing bats, definition of terms, the moratorium on the use of composite bats, and a series of frequently asked questions, with answers and licensed bat lists.

Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018.

For more information on the USABat standard and a complete list of bats approved through the USABat Standard, visit usabat.com.

Thank you!
