We hope you are having a good week and that Comet Card sales are going well. Please let your team mom or one of us know if you need more cards or if you have any questions.
There are several things upcoming that we wanted you to be aware of:
-Comet Card money must be turned in by June 25 in order for your son to be eligible for the drawings. The drawings will take place on July 30th during our Countdown to Greatness. For every 5 Comet Cards that your son sells, his name will go in the drawing for 1 of 3-$100 giftcards.
-We will be at the football field (atrium side) Monday, June 25th to collect Comet Card money. We will be there by 7am until 9:15am. If you are unable to get there during that time, please let your team mom or one of us know so we can make arrangements to get your CC money from you. Parents of freshman, sophomore, junior and senior players, please send with your boys that morning and we will get it from them. -Final Forms are up and working for the 2018/2019 year. You may go on at anytime and select football for your son and make sure everything is filled out.
-Yard signs...the yard sign for this year will be a football helmet. The cost is $25 again this year. All money and orders will be due by July 15th. More information coming on ordering thru the LGL or thru Debbie Welsh.
-Golf outing...PLEASE get your foursomes together and get registered for this years golf outing! We are hoping to have 140 players again this year. Anyone interested in sponsoring a hole...let Mark Miller know at, email@example.com
-Couple of spirit wear items for sale...We have 1 large white t-shirt, 1 large black t-shirt, 1 large gray t-shirt, 1 large black sleeveless compression shirt one pair of fleece Large gray sweatpants for sale. -July 9th TDC meeting will be a social at Casual Pint. We will have a short meeting at 7pm and then have fun the rest of the evening. Casual Pint is located on Tylersville Rd.
-July 30th is Countdown to Greatness - We are looking forward to seeing everyone there. This is a night where the whole program (7th-12th) gets together to kick off our football season. All of the coaches will be there, as well as the cheerleaders. The TDC provides the burgers and the hotdogs (with coaches grilling) and we will need your help with sides and drinks. More information coming soon.
Selling Comet Cards is crucial to the success of the entire high school and middle school football program. We are asking every football player, grades 7-12, to help support their teammates and their Mason football program by selling their allotment of cards. 7th and 8th graders are to sell a minimum of 5 cards while 9th-12th graders should sell a minimum of 13 cards. The cards are $20 each.
Profits from the sell of Comet Cards help provide middle school players pre-game meals, Mason football green ties (given to each 7th grader), assistant coaches stipends and coaching development.
For the high school players, the money we raise from the sell of Comet Cards will help purchase a new end zone camera, feed the boys and coaches before games, feeding the varsity boys after Lil Comets football camp, field fees, assistant coaches stipends, outside training, camps, hardships and so much more. This year we have some new and exciting partners on the cards, i.e. Two Cities, Brixx Pizza and Putter’s.
Please help us with our sale this year. You can help by emailing (or texting) friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and ask them to purchase a card from your son. For every 5 cards that your son sells, his name will go into a drawing for a chance to win (3) $100 gift cards. The drawing will be on July 30th during Countdown to Greatness.
Below are the times that we will be available for you to pick up your son’s cards:
Sunday, June 3rd - We will be at the football stadium when he JV/Varsity boys return from camp to hand out their cards. We are unsure of the time (current estimate is 4 p.m.) until we know what time they leave Athens. An email will be sent to all as soon as we know that time.
Monday, June 4, 7am - 8:30am- You will find us at the Atrium side of the football stadium. All JV/Varsity (that did not attend camp) and freshman players will be given their cards at the end of workouts.
Monday evening, June 4, 7 pm - We will have Comet Cards at our TDC meeting in the Harvard Room at the high school.
All Comet Card money will be due on June 25th. We will be at the stadium that morning at 7am until 8:30 to collect all money. Alternatively you may mail a check with the Comet Card proceeds to the Mason Touchdown Club address at P.O. Box 212, Mason, OH 45040. Make checks payable to "Mason Touchdown Club".
If your son sells all of his cards and would like more, please contact your team mom or one of us and will will get more to you.

Whatever is not sold must be returned by Monday 6/25*
If you have left over cards and they are not returned you will be responsible for the amount of $ 20 per card.
