The Ashburn Elite Running Club (AERC)

AERC will be led by Ashburn Elite’s Head Coach, Derrick Greene, as well as, other coaching staff.  The purpose of AERC is to allow those who did not meet the Ashburn Elite Track Team's cutoff the ability to participate and receive the same quality training and skills. This program’s training will be mimic the Ashburn Elite Track’s program in training and goals. Skills developed from this program will benefit athletes in Track and Field as well as other sports such as football, soccer, lacrosse and basketball.

The Ashburn Elite Running Club-Wellness(AERCw)

AERCw is a alternative training that is focused less on competition but on Life and Wellness. We have received numerous request for running club level training that would benefit our athletes who may not neccesarily want to compete in a Track and Field capacity, but just want to run or train in the spirit of the wellness. This training will offer a fitness regime that will benefit the young athlete who wants the benefits of regular exercise in a structured way. This program will contain additional stretching routines, some meditation and offer education on dietary suggestions and overall well-being. AERCw training will be held symaltaneously with the AERC training.

Training for both programs will be on Fridays from 6-7pm and Sunday 12-1 at NOVA Sports Performance (formally Phenom) in Ashburn.  The programs will run from December 3rd through February 25th. The cost of this 3 month program is $250 which is comparable  to the Ashburn Elite Team Registration fees.  A monthly plan of $90 is also available

For those interested and If space becomes available on the Ashburn Elite Track Team, we will first offer kids in the AERC program the first opportunity to join the team and will pro-rate the Team fees.  Currently, we have not planned any  AERC Track Meets but may consider allowing selected members to participate AETC meets. Depending on the participation in the AERC we may decide to extend it beyond the AETC indoor season.
