Cardinal Girls Lacrosse Club was founded in 2005 to provide a higher level of lacrosse experience for girls in the Northern Virginia region. The goal of the club is to develop the player's skills and offer an enhanced and more competitive team experience for girls dedicated to the game of lacrosse. Girls will have an opportunity to play with their more highly skilled regional peers and to learn the game from experienced coaches (many of whom have played the game competitively post high school.) Cardinal will participate in a number of tournaments in and around the Mid-Atlantic, competing against the top club teams. The Cardinal experience is intended to be a blend of intense skill development in practices and games, coupled with exposure to positive female role models and fellow athletes.
The season is broken into 2 distinct sessions: Summer (June - July) and Fall (September-November). Tryouts for the teams occur in late August each year. Practice is an essential component of the team experience and attendance is expected.
Cardinal continues to expand their reputation as a leading program in the Mid-Atlantic and we welcome you to explore all the club has to offer.

2015 Red Players Competed for U19 National Team Spots
Cardinal Lacrosse would like to congratulate our very own 2015 Red players Morgan Rodgers and Kierra Sweeney for successfully making it past multiple rounds of assessments to reach the final team tryout for the USA U19 National Team. They beat out hundreds of players from all over the country to make it into the final selection group. While they came up just short of making the final 25 player roster we couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments.
The USA U19 National team will be competing at the FIL U19 World Championship in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2015.
