Thinking of Nico 01/18/2018 The entire Hockey Community within the Connecticut Hockey Conference...
The entire Hockey Community within the Connecticut Hockey Conference and hockey community as a whole was saddened to learn of the passing of Nico Mallozzi this past weekend. Our hears, thoughts and prayers are with the Mallozzi family and the Connecticut Roughriders during this most difficult time. If anyone is interested, a GoFundMe page has been set up in Nico's honor.
With the increased level of the flu that is impacting many throughout the state, region and country we need all Connecticut Hockey Conference members to have their teams follow the following protocols moving forward for the balance of the season.
Each player should have their oven water bottles for each practice and game. No more sharing of “team” water bottles during practices or games.
Water bottles should be run through the dishwasher after each use.
Players need to be airing out their equipment after each use.
Players need to be using proper hygiene with emphasis on washing hands .
During the end of games during hand shake line, gloves will remain on hands and the “fist bump” will replace the hand shake for the balance of the season.
