Pioneer cheerleading alumni continue to lead the way on Central's cheer squads.
In 2014, two-thirds the Varsity cheer squad is comprised of Pioneer cheer alumni and there are more Pioneer cheerleaders on Central's combined Varsity and JV cheer squads than all other organizations combined!
Pioneer Cheer and its commitment to UCA and preparing girls for HS cheer is the path to success for Red Devils Cheerleading.

NEW AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CHEER REGISTRATION
New squad size maximums.
The following guidelines will apply to cheer squad sizes for the 2014 season. For competitions, the UCA rules and guidelines we compete under dictate that no more than 36 cheerleaders are allowed on the mat. For the 2014 season, if the number of cheerleaders who register for JV or Varsity goes above 36, we will have some “game only” cheerleaders who would not participate in the competitions.
At the Silk and Pee Wee level, we are intentionally limiting our squad sizes for competitions to a maximum of 28 in order to provide a better teaching environment and experience for our Silk and Pee Wee athletes.
Registration Guidelines for 2014:
Returning cheerleaders have priority placement on a squad for competitions.
Returning cheerleaders must be registered AND PAID IN FULL, by April 15th, to retain their spot for regular season competitions.
Any remaining spots, up to 36 members (28 for PeeWee and Silk levels), will be filled by new registrants, on a first-come, first-served basis.
These new registrants must also be PAID IN FULL by April 15thto retain their priority for competitions.
Any new registrants, above 36 members, or returning cheerleaders not paid in full by April 15th, will become a member of the Pioneer Cheer squad but will be considered a “game only” cheerleader and will not participate in regular season competitions.
In the event a vacancy occurs for a regular season competition due to injury, illness, or other reason, the vacancy may be filled from the pool of “game only” cheerleaders at the discretion of the Head Coach for that squad.
All cheerleaders will have the opportunity to try out for the Extended Season Competition Squad (in late May or June 2014) or the Training Competition Squad, in accordance with the age requirements for those squads.
The Jr Red Devils JV team marched into the playoffs after a semi-final win over the Phillipsburg to face the 10-0 and undefeated Hillsborough team that dominate the regular season and got to the championship game off a 35-8 thrashing of Bridgewater.
Despite going down 16-0 early in the game, the JRD JV team showed their true colors and dominated the 2nd half and after two TDs drew the score to within 16-12 and had Hillsboro pinned down on their own 5 yd line when time ran out. Although they came up just short, it was a great showing for the boys and and the Jr Red Devils organization.
The increasing success of the Jr Red Devils organization in the Jr Skyland Football Conference bodes well for the growth and success of the program!
