by posted 04/08/2014

The NBSA is once again pleased to host the Scott's/Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition in Northboro.  The competition will take place at Casey Field (43 East Main Street) on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 6:00 PM.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the official start time in order to sign in.

Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is a FREE, exciting skills event for boys and girls where participants have the opportunity to compete in four levels of competition including Team Championship events at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.  Northboro winners will advance to the sectional competition (mid-May to early-June).  Sectional winners may advance to a competition at Fenway Park in June*.  Fenway winners may advance to the National Finals at the MLB all-star week in Minneapolis (July).

Age for the competition is determined based on the participant's age on July 17, 2014.  Competitors compete in 4 age groups (separate competitions for boys/girls):  7/8 YO, 9/10 YO, 11/12 YO, 13/14 YO, i.e. the competition is open to anyone who is age 7 through 14 on July 17, 2014.  Please note that competitors who advance will need to present a valid birth certificate at the sectional competition.
