Scott's/Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition
The NBSA is once again pleased to host the Scott's/Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition in Northboro. The competition will take place at Casey Field (43 East Main Street) on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 6:00 PM. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the official start time in order to sign in.
Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is a FREE, exciting skills event for boys and girls where participants have the opportunity to compete in four levels of competition including Team Championship events at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game. Northboro winners will advance to the sectional competition (mid-May to early-June). Sectional winners may advance to a competition at Fenway Park in June*. Fenway winners may advance to the National Finals at the MLB all-star week in Minneapolis (July).
Age for the competition is determined based on the participant's age on July 17, 2014. Competitors compete in 4 age groups (separate competitions for boys/girls): 7/8 YO, 9/10 YO, 11/12 YO, 13/14 YO, i.e. the competition is open to anyone who is age 7 through 14 on July 17, 2014. Please note that competitors who advance will need to present a valid birth certificate at the sectional competition.

*In 2012, a boy from Soutboro advanced to the Fenway Park competition! AND in 2011, a boy from Grafton also advanced to Fenway!
Please note that, when you appear at the Pitch Hit & Run competition on May 2nd you will be required to complete another registration form. This is a requirement of Major League Baseball and is mandatory for your child to participate in the competition.

Click the icon to the left to register for the 2014 Little League Challenger Division, sponsored by Northborough Recreation Department. Registration opens March 10, 2014. All teams are guaranteed at least one evening game under the lights (likely more) games on our beautiful, marquee Little League field (Casey Field, East Main Street).
The 12YO Tournament will be held from Sunday, July 13, 2014 to Sunday, July 20, 2014. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games during the week.
The 9YO Tournament will be held from Monday, July 21 to Wednesday, July 30. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games during the tournament.
