Age and Gender

The Cadets division has both 7th/8th grade girls teams and 7th/8th grade boys teams.

Playing Time

The CYO Cadets division is a competitive division with no playing time guarantee.  Coaches will make every attempt to play all players in each game while maintaining competitiveness.

Practice and Games

There is one practice per week and games are played on Saturday's or Sunday's. Practices are at the Seton Activity Center.  Games for the Cadet Girls are played at various gyms in Nashua.  Games for Cadet Boys are played at the Bishop O'Neil Center on Elm Street in Manchester.

All coaches must be ASEP certified and attend Protecting God’s Children seminars in order to coach. Background checks are performed for all those involved with the CYO league.

Registration Fee

The fee to play Seton CYO is $100 for the Cadets Division.

All “active” parishioners are automatically selected to the teams. Children must be enrolled and active in the religious education program in order to play. Two non-parishioners per team are allowed to play on each team and may be subject to a tryout. Returning non-parishioners maintain their roster status as long as they continuously play in the program.

Tournament Play

Each CYO team in the Cadet Division has the opportunity to compete for City, State and Regional titles.

Multiple Teams

Children do play on multiple teams. In the case of schedule conflict the following priority will apply: 1.) School team game or practice 2.) Travel team game 3.) CYO game 4.) Travel team practice 5.) CYO practice 5.) Rec game or practice
