Age and Gender
The Intermediate division is for high school boys in grades 9 through 12. Players who roster on a school team (Freshman, JV, or Varsity) cannot also participate in the CYO Intermediate Division. Players are encouraged to try-out for their school team but should also register to play CYO. A player who is going to try out for the school team can defer payment during the registration process.
The high school CYO program plays in a competitive state-wide league. Seton typically fields two teams, a Junior Varsity and Varsity squad. Other programs in the league typically have only one team of players in grades 9-12 and playing time is typically dominated by upperclassman. Freshman seeking competitive playing time are encouraged to try out for their school team.
Practice and Games
There is one practice per week on Monday's and games are played on Sunday afternoons at Bedford High School or Nashua Catholic. Practices are at the Seton Activity Center.
All coaches must be ASEP certified and attend Protecting God’s Children seminars in order to coach. Background checks are performed for all those involved with the CYO league.
The fee to play Seton CYO is $125 for the Intermediate Division.
All “active” parishioners are automatically selected to the teams. Children must be enrolled and active in the religious education program or have already made their confirmation in order to play. Two non-parishioners per team are allowed to play on each team and may be subject to a tryout.
Each CYO team in the Cadet Division has the opportunity to compete for City, State and Regional titles.
