Western Washington High School Hockey

The Western Washington High School Hockey League is a Spring league for High School players in the Seattle Puget Sound area.

Starts: End of March

Ends: Early May

Season Games: Each Team gets 12 games

Championship Game: 1 playoff game

Cost: $295.00


High School Hockey Player Registration

Please note that All registration, paperwork and payments must be completed before a player will be eligible to play in any games. 


2018 Registration

The fees for Spring 2018 High School hockey are $295
Please note that there will be other expenses including a team jersey, additional practice ice and any other team specific fees.
Registration fees are non-refundable once a player is placed on a team. If a player is not placed on a team the registration fee will be refunded.


ONLINE REGISTRATION STEPS
1.) Download and fill out the following paperwork:

2.) Make a photocopy of the following:
  • Current High School Identification Card
  • Birth Certificate, Drivers License or Passport

3.) All of the above items need to be given to your team manager before the player takes the ice.

4.) Visit www.usahockeyregistration.com to purchase your 2016-2017 USA Hockey Membership. The confirmation code you receive from USA Hockey (9 digits & 5 letters) will be required in the following online registration. Players that played on a USA Hockey team this past fall will be able to use their existing registration.

What schools are in the league?
The participating schools can vary from year to year. 2016 consisted of the following schools.
Bothell, Emonds-Woodway, Federal Way, Lake Washington, Marysville, Skyline, Everett and Tahoma
 
What if my school doesn’t have a team?
Players may sign up to play with a nearby team or as an individual and they will be assigned to a nearby school.
 
Do teams have tryouts?
Some teams do have tryouts so it’s important to register early to be aware of those tryouts.
 
Where are games played?
Sno-King Kirkland & Sno-King Renton
 
What nights are games played?
Typically games are played on Wed, Fri and Sat evenings depending on the location. League games will consist of up to 2 games per week.
 
How do I register?

Can I pay the office directly?
Sorry. To keep confusion to a minimum, all player registrations are required to be done online. Players are not eligible to play in games until the online registration, paperwork and payment has been received.
 
What are the additional costs besides league fees?
If your player did not play on a USA Hockey team this past fall they will need to pay the USA Hockey registration.
There will also be costs for team jersey, additional practice ice and any other team expenses.
 
Are scholarships available for this league?
Sorry but there are no scholarships available for this league.
 
What is the refund policy for this league?
The player registration fees will be refunded if the player is not placed on a team.
Once a player is placed on a team no fees will be refunded.
 
My player is in the 8th grade but is old enough to be in high school. Can he participate?
Sorry, Players must be in high school in order to participate, unless approved by the High School Hockey Committee
 
What rules govern this league?

When does the season start and how long does it last?

The season begins at the first part of April and wraps up at the end of May

Can we body check?

High School Hockey Coaching Requirements

All Head and Assistant Coaches involved with the WW High School Hockey League must meet the following requirements:
USA Hockey Membership Registration 

All coaches involved with the league must be registered with USA Hockey for the 2017 – 18 season.

No coach may go on the ice, nor bench, if they do not have this registration number on file.
