Interested in playing for City Lax?


Denver City Lax is a sports-based youth development organization creating educational and life opportunities for boys and girls in under-served neighborhoods in the Denver area through the sport of lacrosse.  The organization serves primarily elementary and middle school students that may not have access to affordable recreation, education and youth development programming.

Returning Families/Players

How do I Register?

For the 2019 Spring season, a parent/guardian for each participant will need to fill out the online registration and attend a mandatory parent/guardian meeting.

 

Two Step Registration Process

  1. Fill out the 2019 City Lax Spring Official Online Registration.

  2. Attend a Mandatory Parent/Guardian Meeting (dates/time/location TBD)


General Information



Practice and Game Locations:

City Lax’s home fields have been Skyland Park, located behind Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center at 35th & Holly Street; the Martin Luther King Recreation Center, located at 38th and Newport; and Fred Thomas Park, located at 26th & Quebec.


2019 Practice time and location:

  • All teams will practice 5:30-7:00 PM

  • Teams will practice in the northeast Park Hill area (Martin Luther King Recreation Center, Skyland Park, McAuliffe/Smiley Campus)

2019 Game location:

  • Home games will be played at Martin Luther King Recreation Center (38th & Oneida)

  • Away games will be played at parks throughout the Denver Metro area and surrounding city's

 

Practice Dates and Times:

  • Practice will begin the first week of March
  • Teams will practice 2-3 times per week depending on their age division (Tues/Thurs, Wed/Fri, Mon/Tues/Thurs, Mon/Wed/Fri)
  • Games will be played on Saturdays (and some Sundays). Teams will play 6-10 games during the regular season.
  • The last possible date of the Spring season is June 2nd.

 

 

Age Divisions/Teams:

 

Girls: K-8
Boys: K-8

Please note that both the boys and girls lacrosse leagues have changed from grade to age based divisions.  Here is a cutoff date chart for each division:
