Head Coach: Hugh Curran,

Assistant Coach: Mike Bavis

Assistant Coach: Dan Donato

Entering his sixth year at Dexter School, Dan Donato coached the varsity hockey team to four straight New England Tournaments and his second New England Championship in 2010.

After excelling in two sports at Catholic Memorial and Loomis Chaffee, Dan played varsity hockey and baseball at Boston University. Dan was a three-year captain in baseball and won the Hockey East Championship, along with a bid in the NCAA Hockey Championship game in his senior season.

At the end of his playing career, Dan turned his attention toward coaching and education when he joined Salisbury School in 2000. His Salisbury varsity hockey team shared in many successes. Salisbury won the New England championship in 2005, the Founders League Championship in 2001, 2005, 2006, and the prestigious Flood-Marr tournament in 2004 and 2005. During his tenure, Dan placed numerous players on Division I and III college teams. A number of Salisbury graduates were also drafted by the National Hockey League. In recognition of his accomplishments, Dan was named 2002 Division 1 Prep School Coach of the Year by the United States Hockey Report. In 2005, he received the Hockey Night in Boston Division I Prep School Coach of the Year Award. While these awards recognize Dan’s coaching achievements, his greatest satisfaction comes from developing the academic, social, and athletic ability of his players.
