NCSI Background Check Information
*MANDATORY BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR ALL COACHES, PROGRAM MANAGERS AND BOARD MEMBERS
US Lacrosse has adopted the criteria regarding national criminal history background checks established by the National Council of Youth Sports. US Lacrosse has partnered with NCSI as they are the only background screening company licensed by the National Council of Youth Sports to use these Recommended Guidelines. NCSI utilizes a procedure that can be referred to as a “Red Light / Green Light” protocol. This process allows the sensitive nature of the details of a “Red Light” determination to remain confidential.
US Lacrosse recommends that if a background check of any coach or volunteer results in a negative finding, or “Red Light,” the individual should be prohibited from working with the lacrosse youth program. HRLax will comply with this policy. If the individual feels the finding is in error, he/she must work with NCSI to resolve the negative finding before being allowed to coach or volunteer with HRLax.
To share the background check information obtained through HRLax registration with US Lacrosse:
Step 1: Simply go to https://www.ncsisafe.com/Members/SelfRegBatchCode.aspx?srb=12951213
Step 2: Enter “No” when asked “Is this your first time using NCSI?”
Step 3: Enter Your Information as Requested
