Sno-King 10U Division

The 2015-2016 season is fast approaching! We hope you have been enjoying the fantastic summer weather.

  • 10U Recreation or C level will play in the NPSHL
    • 10U Recreation will offer a Development team

  • 10U Select/Travel will have three balanced teams
    • 10U Select will also offer a Development team (Details TBD)

Sno-King will continue to follow the USA Hockey ADM model and its philosophies pertaining to skill development. We are excited to be entering into our 3rd year as a USA Hockey Model Association and hope to continue the great relationship with USA hockey for many years to come.

We encourage ALL 10U players to participate in our station based practices that begin during the 1st week of September. (See Schedule below) This is the first age group where a player in our association can be released from a team, therefore Sno-King believes that 10U players should skate multiple times before trying out in order to get more comfortable with the process. There are often players who are good enough for Select but are concerned about being released. A few extra skates may help alleviate some of this pressure.
To read more on this philosophy, Click here for an article on a similar evaluation process.

Our coaches are committed to being a positive influence in the lives of our kids by following the Positive Coaching Alliance principles, as well as learning all the latest player development techniques directly from USA hockey as part of our ADM model club appointment. Coaches and volunteers will be expected to take the new USA hockey SafeSport online class as part of our ongoing player safety education.  Parents are encouraged to take this free course also.

If you have any questions about the upcoming season do not hesitate to contact us or check out our website at www.snokinghockey.com for more information.

We are going to begin with some FREE optional scrimmages for those who are in town on August 29th and 30th and again on September 5th and 6th (Labor Day Weekend)
