Middle School Boys Teams Notes

To grow boys volleyball, LYV is following USAV and CHRVA by including boys teams in middle school play. To have more opportunities for play, boys teams will be included in girls divisions. All sets will count for a team's final record and seeding in the tournament.

To make the matches competitive for both the girls and boys teams, LYV is going to conduct rigorous skills assessments and team placement for the boys, creating teams based on skill level as a first priority. These higher skilled teams will be placed in the appropriate divisions, typically Open 1 and Open 2. Boys teams with less advanced players will be placed in the House division.

Boys teams will also play other boys teams in the same division, if there are any.

Should there be enough boys teams to form their own division, a Middle School Boys Division will be created and the boys teams will only play other boys teams.
