2nd Annual Lou Petersen Memorial Golf Tournament - June 1
HRYL Friends and Family:
For those of you new to the program, this is our annual fund raiser in honor of our founder Lou Petersen. In addition to this being a really fun event, it helps our program financially as 50% of the registration fees and 100% of the silent auction proceeds go to HRYL. While NAIFA has held this tournament for years, last year was the first year HRYL participated, and it proved to be a very special day. This year we plan to grow our participation significantly and would really like to see all our friends and family participate. We hope you can join us.
Former HRYL player Ian Sauer traveling with Team USA U-19
Ian Sauer, former HRYL and South Lakes HS player, is traveling to Europe this summer as part of the Team USA U-19 team, which will be competing against several national teams in exhibition play. He will be traveling to play in late July through early August in Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. Ian completed his first year as part of the Susquehanna Men’s Lacrosse Team in the Landmark Conference DIII. They finished 12-4 on the year.
Kelly Mathews, a 7-year product of Herndon-Reston Youth Lacrosse (HRYL) and junior for Bishop Ireton High School, signed her National Letter of Intent on November 12, 2014 to play NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse for Boston University. She first learned to love the game and master skills under the HRYL program starting in 2005. Congratulations to Kelly!
