We’re writing to let you know of an important change to bats for the upcoming 2018 Spring season. USABat, the organization that oversees bat standards has changed the requirements for bats in an effort to make them safer for youth players.
ALL BATS must now display the logo below. Any bat not stamped from the factory with this logo cannot be used in play. Unfortunately this means that any bat you have purchased in recent years is no longer useful. If you plan on purchasing a bat, ensure that is does has this stamp. BYBS coaches will have an approved bat available for players to share.
For more information about the change you can read this on the Cal Ripken website.
The link will bring you to a video regarding the upcoming bat standard changes beginign 1/1/2018 (USA Baseball Update). If your child's bat does not comply with the new bat standrads from USA Baseball, your child will NOT be allowed to use the bat in practices or games.
