Two LAHA Executive Board terms are expiring (Renee Dunwoody and Kathi Fisher), and the Board is seeking nominations to fill these vacancies. Anyone may be nominated. The membership votes from the list of candidates, and these Board members serve a 2-year term. Following the election, the five voting Executive Board members meet to decide which positions they will serve during the coming year, i.e., President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, and Member-at-Large.
The positions require commitment and lots of positive energy to help make the association work. These positions are critical to making the association enriching for the players.
Nominations will be accepted through May 1, 2018. Self-nomination is preferred. If you are nominating someone else, please verify his or her willingness to serve if elected. Please submit your nomination to the executive committee (
The general membership will be presented with the nominations via email. The membership will be given the opportunity to vote by return email through May 10, 2018. The results will be announced May 15, 2018. The new board will be installed at the following Board meeting in early June.
Teams will be formed based on attendance each day and full ice scrimmages will take place. Goalies will share net minding if more than two show up on any given day. All sessions will be supervised by an on-ice coach to insure a good hockey experience is had by all, but players will be allowed creativity and freedom in their play.
A designated coach or representative will be available to collect drop in fees each session. Fees will not be paid at the front desk to the Outpost Ice Arena.
All players must register in advance, even drop in players, so we have their USA Hockey # on file, and they agree to our code of conduct.
For specific questions, or if you’re willing to help as a qualified coach, please contact Coach Matt.
For all those that are interested, please send the information requested below. We need to start sending in payments and team information this week to the tournament director.
For the first weekend, we will not be having dryland training or rapid shot team training.

The Lobos would like to generate a scholarship as a gesture of empathy and to support this town and team amidst their grieving. Please help us achieve our goal of 5,000 to award to a player who will be continuing on to college and award him scholarship to ease his financial burden. Lets help rebuild the Humboldt community's spirit.
