Another successful Spring Season is in the books! On behalf of the ALC Board, thank you for devoting your time, energy, and resources into fueling your player’s love of lacrosse. We are continually working hard to improve and develop our club to better serve our community. We need your help in this effort so we can provide all Tribe players with a great experience. Please take a moment to share your insights by taking a short, three-question survey. It is super quick – we promise! Your feedback is extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.
It is our goal to have at least two solid teams in each age group to both compete in our region and also allow for developmental lacrosse. This year our numbers were on par with the past few years but we need your help to grow the sport in our area. If you have a friend, neighbor, or teammate from another team sport that may be interested in lacrosse encourage them to sign up for upcoming Tribe events, such as our Open House in the fall and our fall programs (box lacrosse and clinics).
If you are wondering how Tribe performed this year beyond your own player’s team, below is a quick synopsis for your enjoyment.
Tribe went three for three on Championship Sunday. Our 10U-A team, coached by Michael Carter, went wire-to-wire undefeated. The G34 Blue team, coached by Scott Frye, and our G34 Orange team, coached by Emily Heleniak, both took home the championship trophy in their respective brackets. Congrats to our champions!
We had a number of other successes out there, not all captured here but a few worth mentioning. Our G78A team competed at the AAA level with and had a great season going out in the second round to the championship winners. A big thank you to Russ Battaglia who has coached these girls at a high-level and won championships over many years with this group of players.
Our 14U-B team, coached by Shane Arbuckle and managed by 14U-A coach Doug Ward, went undefeated in the regular season. Our 12U team, coached by Brian Pope, improved tremendously over the 2017 team’s performance, finishing their season 6-3-1. Thank you to all our coaches for volunteering their time and energy and leading Tribe through another season!
Good luck to all our eighth grade players who are moving on to play for our local High School Teams. There are several Tribe alumni making an impact on the high school lacrosse scene and beyond. A special shout out to the following high school teams from our pyramid on their very successful seasons. We look forward to fueling our powerhouse lacrosse in our community for many years to come.

Dominion Varsity Girls 4A VA State Quarter Finalist

In closing, we want to thank all Tribe Families, coaches, and volunteers for your constant support to make this a great experience for our players and our organization. We cannot do it without you. Have a great tournament season for our club players and make sure to keep those sticks active for those playing other sports or just hanging out for the summer.

Ages 7-18 are welcome. Age groups are based on the grade the camper will enter the following school year. The age groups are:
4th grade and under
Some age groups may be combined depending on enrollment size at each level.
This camp provides instruction for every position (attack, middies, defense and goalies). Goalies will have their own coaches.
This camp is beneficial for experienced players and beginners. Because the camp is properly staffed the coaching staff can give the attention players of all skill levels deserve. Less experienced players will benefit from the focus on fundamentals. Experienced players will benefit from learning how to perfect their fundamentals from college and pro players and coaches. Perfecting fundamentals is how good players become great players.
High School Players
Most, if not all, of our camps have multiple college coaches that recruit at your local club tournaments. Rather than seeing you in a club tournament at a distance for a few minutes, our camp allows exposure for 3 full days and an opportunity to get to know your personality, the strengths of your game, your athletic ability, and your work ethic. You will be given the same instruction these coaches provide their college players - your game progresses and you receive recruiting exposure.
-ALL coaches have college or professional playing or coaching experience
-We assign coaches to stations, not to age groups, ensuring campers will receive instruction from all of our talented coaches vs. just one.
- Concentration on instruction rather than watching/officiating scrimmages. At multiple stations per hour, we teach fundamentals and mechanics and provide drills to take away from camp to perfect these skills on your own.
