OUR MISSION

Established in 2004 to serve the

Western Maryland Lacrosse communities of

Allegany, Carroll, Garrett, Frederick, and Washington Counties.

Through responsive and effective leadership, the Western Maryland Chapter of US Lacrosse strives to provide programs and services in our geographic territory that inspire participation, enhance & retain membership, and build lacrosse awareness while protecting the integrity of the game.

We envision a future which offers people everywhere the opportunity to discover, learn, participate in, enjoy, and ultimately embrace the shared passion of the lacrosse experience.

*WMDUSLAX posts all lacrosse related information happening in our area for informational purposes only.

The Western MD Chapter of US Lacrosse does not endorse ANY club team or organization over another and believes that each family can and should make their own decision regarding the programs available in our area.

US Lacrosse Youth Players Survey
To Parents of all WMDUSLAX Youth Players:

US Lacrosse is currently in need of your child's input about their experience in the sport.  We would greatly appreciate you taking 5 minutes to help your child complete the survey found below.  US Lacrosse will be using the data collected to better inform our Athlete Development staff about what kids enjoy, want, and need from their participation in lacrosse.

As an incentive for completing this survey, all respondents will be entered into a drawing to win a Warrior Warp (boys) lacrosse stick or Brine Dynasty (girls) lacrosse stick.  5 lucky boys and 5 lucky girls will be chosen at random from all respondents.

Please click the following link to complete the survey: USL Player Survey

Thank you in advance for helping us better serve your athlete.

Carroll County Adaptive Lacrosse

Carroll County Adaptive Lacrosse 2017

Carroll County Adaptive Lacrosse

The Carroll County Adaptive Lacrosse Program was started in September 2017.   The purpose of the Carroll County Adaptive Lacrosse Program is to provide the opportunity for any youth or adult to play lacrosse with differing abilities. The intent of the program is no matter what the differing abilities the program will adapt to provide an enriched lacrosse experience.

Location:

This spring they will be playing at the Boys Field at Deer Park on Sunday's.

Date                                                Time
April 7, 2019                                  4:00 PM
April 14, 2019                                4:00 PM
April 28, 2019                                4:00 PM
May   5, 2019                                 4:00 PM
May 19, 2019                                 4:00 PM

Volunteers Needed:

A big part of the program is the inclusion of local high school or college lacrosse players to volunteer during the practice. The program tries to provide one on one support to help the players to catch, throw and celebrate playing lacrosse. By having the inclusion of the existing players there are lots of smiling, laughing and good relationship building between the adaptive players and volunteers.

More Opportunities!

This past fall the Carroll County Adaptive Lacrosse Program participated in an Adaptive Lacrosse Clinic at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, MD. The players and volunteers got a free tour of the US Lacrosse Museum and the University of Maryland Men’s Lacrosse Team volunteered to participate in an Adaptive Lacrosse Clinic with the Delaware (Rehoboth) Adaptive Lacrosse, Davidsonville Adaptive Lacrosse, Parkville Adaptive Lacrosse and the Howard County Adaptive Lacrosse Program.

Registration:

The program will continue in Spring 2019 and registration will be done through Carroll County Recreation and Parks. We need more players to participate, volunteers and equipment to help outfit the Adaptive Lacrosse Players.

For more information contact Jim Long at jlong7774@gmail.com or 443-745-3558.
