Welcome to the online home of Cape Ann Youth Hockey!

Cape Ann Youth Hockey
Boys and girls from the ages 3-16 can learn to skate and develop hockey skills in Cape Ann Youth Hockey's various programs. Cape Ann Youth Hockey is a non-profit organization governed by a board of directors and run by volunteers. CAYH is committed to providing our players the opportunity to have fun on the ice while learning the basic skills of ice skating and how to play the game of hockey. Most importantly, we want each and every athlete to develop friendships and have fun. We hope to develop our players to become the best hockey players that they can be and to help set good examples for them to carry into their adulthood while participating in a sport that they love to play.

Co-Ed Travel Team Placements for 2017-2018 Season

Co-Ed Travel Team Placements

** Teams and Positions are Not Final until Registration is Complete**

The Cape Ann Youth Hockey Board of Directors has developed procedures to facilitate the manner in which teams are selected.  There are numerous ways that teams can be determined, and we understand that none are perfect.  The Board annually assesses how we can enhance every aspect of the Team Selection Process in an effort to foster consistency, transparency, and fairness.  This season, CAYH hired ProSkills to assess and score all players by skill level.  Player placement is a result of these scores.  It is our goal to place players on a team that most closely matches their hockey skill and ability.  In doing so, we hope to provide every player the best opportunity to succeed and compete.

There will always be parents who are disappointed with the evaluation results and their child’s team placement. Human nature dictates that people will have differences of opinion. It is important to remember that team selection is never made unilaterally within our organization.  Quite the contrary is true.  At every level, we have developed a process that requires the consensus of multiple individuals before teams are announced.  The Board reviews placements for accuracy and legitimateness at every level to ensure that rules were followed, and the process was adhered to.  We request that you respect and follow the USA Hockey Parent Code of Conduct when addressing and questions/concerns that may arise during the placement process and throughout the season.

If you would like to confirm your player’s pinnie assignment,

We are currently accepting coaching applications via our online application process.  The CAYH Board will be reviewing applicants and will likely be appointing coaches at our May and/or June meetings.  Rosters will be provided to coaches once the appointments have been finalized and approved by the board.  Please keep in mind that teams rosters are not final until the registration process is complete.
