Mites Rinkside for Yale vs Princeton

On Saturday, February 10th, our North Park Mites visited New Haven for a fun overnight trip to Yale. We divided up our Mites into two balanced teams to face off against the Yale Junior Bulldogs at Yale's beautiful Eero Saarinen-designed Ingalls Rink, aka The Whale. In the evening the Mites watched the Yale team defeat Princeton 7-2. Special thanks to the Simonds & Brooks families for organizing the trip, including special tours of the varsity locker rooms and the alumni lounge.

Andrew Nawn Service Award

Coach Andrew Nawn Accepts Service Award from Coach Earl Rix

In recognition of Andrew Nawn's TWENTY years of volunteer coaching service to North Park, we have established the Andrew Nawn Service Award to be given to volunteers who make an exceptional contribution to North Park. Andrew coached our youngest players, helping literally thousands of North Park players learn to skate, stickhandle and shoot, in our 6 & under Developmental Mites program. Coach Earl Rix presented the award to Andrew on February 2, 2017 at a reception attended by several "generations" of the North Park family, including past and present coaches, commissioners and players. Andrew, we sincerely appreciate the incredible contributions you have made over the years, in teaching our children both hockey skills and life lessons, and we hope to bring you out of "retirement" on occasion in the future.
