Andrew Nawn Service Award

Coach Andrew Nawn Accepts Service Award from Coach Earl Rix

In recognition of Andrew Nawn's TWENTY years of volunteer coaching service to North Park, we have established the Andrew Nawn Service Award to be given to volunteers who make an exceptional contribution to North Park. Andrew coached our youngest players, helping literally thousands of North Park players learn to skate, stickhandle and shoot, in our 6 & under Developmental Mites program. Coach Earl Rix presented the award to Andrew on February 2, 2017 at a reception attended by several "generations" of the North Park family, including past and present coaches, commissioners and players. Andrew, we sincerely appreciate the incredible contributions you have made over the years, in teaching our children both hockey skills and life lessons, and we hope to bring you out of "retirement" on occasion in the future.

Squirts Blue & White at Silver Stick Semifinals

North Park Squirts Blue and White both had successful runs at the Squirt B New England Regionals for Silver Sticks in Norwich, CT. Our Blue and White teams went a combined 5-1 in the initial round and advanced to the semifinals, where they played one another in a close game that was tied at 2-2 until the final two minutes. In the end, our Blue team advanced to the finals, but finally ran out of steam against a strong Western Colonials Squirt Major team from Danbury, CT. Congrats to both teams for the strong performances and to Blue for bringing home a Silver Stick Finalist Banner!

Coach Lada Preps Players in Baker Rink

On December 2nd, North Park Mites Blue and White headed out on their first overnight road trip to Princeton. The teams each played two games, including one in the historic Hobey Baker Memorial Rink at Princeton, in addition to watching the Harvard vs Princeton game. The players also were given a VIP tour of Baker rink, including a visit to the Princeton varsity locker room. Thanks to Princeton hockey alums and North Park parents Miro Pasic and Clint Murray for making this special experience possible for our young stars.

Stay tuned for our Mites Green trip to Yale in February...
