Way to go MYV/MYA Families!!
On Saturday, April 22, McLean Youth Volleyball (MYV) partnered with the non-profit Leveling the Playing Fieldto collect used ("slightly loved") sports equipment to donate to disadvantaged youth athletes in Baltimore and Washington DC.
Turnout was phenomenal. It took 6 minivans loads (no middle seats) to collect the equipment from both Cooper MS and McLean HS. In fact, Leveling the Playing Field informed us that it was their largest collection EVER!!
Here are some quick stats on the most common items:
Most unusual items: Pair of skis, pitching machine, paddleball racquet, ping pong set and discus.
