Montville Little League Baseball Clinics

Dates:       Thursday, February 22nd, 2018

                   Tuesday, February 27nd, 2018

                   Thursday, March 1st, 2018

Time:         6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Session 1)

                  7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Session 2)

Where:       Montville High School Gymnasium

Who:          In order to make this event worthwhile for everyone, we are limiting the number of participants to the first 30 Little League Baseball                                    Players that are enrolled to tryout/play in AAA or Majors Division for the 2018 season. (9-12 year olds)

What:         The clinic will be covering the following; form throwing, the mechanics of an effective swing, infield and outfield defense, pitching                                      mechanics, catching drills, etc

How:          Register by email to Ryan Treat, .  Please provide the player’s name, age, parent / guardian's name, and a phone                                    number to contact in case of a cancellation.  We will follow up with an email with some additional information prior to the first                                             session.

Cost:          The clinics are FREE.  However, the player must be signed up to tryout/play in the AAA or Majors division for the 2018 Little League                                  year.

Date: February 3, 2018 and February 24, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Location: Montville Community Center, Room 103

Registration Fees:

T-Ball: $75.00

Baseball and Softball: $100.00

Family Maximum: $250.00

Late fee for registrations received after February 24, 2018: $25.00

There are a limited number of full or partial scholarships available to families in need of assistance with registration fees, on a first come, first served basis. Please contact Rachel Belardo for further information.

What you need:

NEW PLAYERS: Birth Certificate Three proofs of residency Registration Form and Medical Release Waiver (We will provide these documents at time of registration). You can also save time by filling these out ahead of time. Visit our website at www.montvilleamerican.org for more information.

RETURNING PLAYERS: Registration Form and Medical Release Waiver

Age Requirements:

T-Ball: 4 – 5 year olds

A Baseball: 6 – 8 year olds

AA Baseball: 7 - 9 year olds

AAA Baseball: 8 – 11 year olds

Major League Baseball: 9 – 12 year olds


Minor League Softball: 6-11 year olds

Major League Softball: 9 – 12 year olds

Senior League Softball: 13 – 16 year olds

We are now accepting registration online for returning players ONLY. To register online, please visit www.montvillellb.org T-ball players will NOT have the option of registering online. All t-ball players will have to register in person on one of the above listed dates.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING BATS: Effective January 1, 2018, Little League Baseball will adhere to the new USABat standard. NO BATS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED FOR USE IN LITTLE LEAGUE PLAY WILL BE PERMITTED TO BE USED IN ANY LITTLE LEAGUE GAME OR PRACTICE. All bats used from the A-level through Major League Baseball level must bear the USABat licensing mark. For more information on the new bat standards, please visit www.littleleague.org. Please note, the league will be purchasing two bats for each team. If you would like your child to have their own bat, you must purchase one that complies with the new regulations.
