Important: Easton Ghost X 30/20 5/8 Decertified for Use by USA B
by Master Admin posted 05/09/2018

Little League Baseball and Softball

Dear Little League Parents and Volunteers,

On Thursday, May 3, USA Baseball informed youth organizations, including Little League, that effective immediately, the bat identified as the Easton Ghost X YBB18GX10 30/20 2 5/8" (or the "Easton Ghost X 30/20 5/8" at retail) has been decertified by USA Baseball and is no longer an approved bat under the USABat Standard. This applies to the 30-inch drop 10 variation of the Easton Ghost X only. Pursuant to Rule 1.10, this is now an illegal bat. At the time of this decertification notice, all other lengths and drops of the Easton Ghost X bat remain approved for play.

All parents, coaches, and umpires must check their bats and remove these bats from play if they are in possession of these bats.

Any questions regarding returns, refunds, or warranty claims for the Easton Ghost X 30/20 should be directed to Easton at  .

Please visit USABat.com/Decertified-Bats for more information.

More information on how the USABat Standard impacts Little League can be found at LittleLeague.org/BatInfo.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you all for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Patrick Wilson

New BASEBALL Bat Regulations
by Master Admin posted 02/09/2018

New BASEBALL Bat Regulations

To Parents of All Hanover Township Little League Baseball Players,

As you may have heard to provide a safer playing environment, all 2017 or earlier Little League baseball bats will be disallowed for use in the 2018 season.  Our Little League has had several meetings on this subject and would like to share the following information to assist you in obtaining eligible equipment for the upcoming season.

  • For the first time, Little League players will also be eligible to utilize big barrel (2-5/8 inch) type bats as well as the traditional 2-1/4” barrel bat.
  • All of the major bat manufactures are offering 2018 eligible bats that can be currently purchased at most sporting goods stores with prices ranging between $30 and $350.  Depending on the size and swing of your player a more expensive bat may provide better performance.
  • While we encourage players to obtain their own personal bats, it is not a requirement.  Hanover Township Little League will have a limited number of eligible bats available for each team at every level of play.
  • For those players interested in purchasing their own bat, we recommend you do some research to obtain a properly fitted bat for your child.
  • Eligible bats must display the “USA BASEBALL" logo which are any one of the following:

  • These new rules pertain to all baseball divisions except t-ball, they do not apply to softball divisions

Any additional questions please reach out to us via our web site (http://htll.us)

Thank You,

The Hanover Township Little League Board

Michael Halibej - President

Registration Tips

Registration Tips

Tip #1
We advise adding both parents/guardians to a player's account (easy to do - just "Add Adult"). Especially if a parent/guardian is volunteering (as a coach, board member, etc.), that parent/guardian should have be listed on the account so they can be identified and listed with the appropriate contact information for the volunteer.

Tip #2
If you want to enter more than one email address (e.g. mom, dad, work, etc.) separate the email addresses with a semi-colon.

example: ; ;
