Now celebrating our 10th year anniversary, the New England Predators organization has always been dedicated to providing a highly competitive and supportive environment where players aged from Mite through Bantam can maximize their development on and off the ice.
All New England Predators teams are coached by our proven, qualified and experienced coaching staff made up of former professional and collegiate players, as well as current BCHL, USHL and Major Junior scouts.
All NEP teams – Squirt through Bantams – compete in a competitive 40 - 50 game schedule. All Premier teams play in the top division of the NEPHL (www.thenephl.com) the fastest growing youth hockey league in New England.
All NEP teams practice 2 times per week on set nights and times (50+ practices over 30 weeks). Practices are used to reinforce skill development and systems used for team play. All practices are conducted by the coaching staff for each respective team, consisting of some of the most qualified coaches in the area.
SKILLS & POWER SKATING
Throughout the season, each player's skating and skill development continues through a weekly series of power skating and skills sessions. These sessions are conducted by Jon Hutcheon, Skills Development Coach for the St. Louis Blues and his HEH staff. All Predators players are required to participate. Each team has one session per week for 12 weeks.
Throughout the season, all NEP goaltenders receive Goaltending specific training and development through a weekly series of lessons conducted by Scott Crowther Jr. These sessions coincide with player power skating and skills sessions. All Predators goalies are required to participate. Each team has one session per week for 12 weeks.
The New England Predators organization provides each team entrance for two local AAA tournaments as part of the annual tuition. NEP teams face off against some of the best AAA teams across various leagues and geographical regions.
