Barracuda Lacrosse is an outlet for players to build on their game playing at the next level.  There are three parts to Barracuda Lacrosse.

  • First are the winter camps that everyone can sign up for and attend from Tyke to Junior.
  • Second part being competitive travelling minor A teams
  • Third, a Major Junior Tier 1 team competing in the Rockey Mountain Lacrosse League (RMLL).

Minor A teams

These teams will be rostered from Novice, Peewee, Bantam and Midget players that are registered to play with the SLA through their local Member Association.  Players that make the team will play on both their house team as well as the Barracuda team.  Depending on interest and numbers we may roster Novice A team.

The Peewee, Bantam and Midget A teams will travel to Saskatoon and Alberta taking part in tournament play.  These teams will also practice at least once a week and will play exhibition games against QCMBL house teams in the division above.  If there is a Novice A team this team would not go to the Saskatoon tournament.

All coaches will coach the same style of play and will have a benchmark of skills that will be coached at each division.  These benchmarks that will follow set parameters the CLA has outlined for A teams in their respective division.  Each team will have coaches that have coached young lacrosse players both at high levels and house leagues.

Major Junior team

2018 will be the inaugural season for Barracuda Lacrosse's Junior B Tier 1 team.  Players from southern Saskatchewan are invited to come out and try out for our team.  We are looking for the best and brightest lacrosse players the southern SLA Member Associations have to offer!  These associations include the QCMBL, MJKLA, WMBL, EMBL.

We are also looking for great community partnerships/sponsorships if you would like to help these young players continue to play at a higher level please contact Matt Williams, barracuda@qcmbl.ca.
