Elmhurst Lacrosse is a non-profit organization, run by parent volunteers, dedicated to the development and instruction of boys’ lacrosse. We accept players in 2nd through 8th grade. HOWEVER, boys are placed on teams based on their age and US Lacrosse guidelines. All Elmhurst teams, at every level, will be divided into teams of equal talent.
Elmhurst Lacrosse’s season takes place in the spring beginning in April. Registration takes place in November. Games are generally scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays and occasionally mid-week. There are typically 1 to 2 games per week, beginning mid April until the regular season concludes in mid June with our inter-Elmhurst Kings of Spring tournament.
Boys have twice weekly practices for 90 minutes. The days and times may vary due to volunteer coaching schedules and field availability. We ask all boys participate in an evaluation, held in February in order for us to create teams of equal talent. We also host a four-week Winter Tune-up session in March. We encourage the boys to participate in these clinics held on a Saturday or Sunday.
Cost for the season is typically between $275 and $325 depending on the age group. This does not include equipment. Boys will be required to purchase or rent equipment. Elmhurst Lacrosse will be renting equipment for the first time in 2016. Further information on equipment is available on our Equipment page.
Our mission is to (1) provide the youth of Elmhurst and surrounding areas with an inclusive and fun environment for kids of all skill levels to learn and participate in the game of lacrosse; and (2) to prepare the youth of Elmhurst and surrounding areas with the basic skills and understanding of the game to compete at the high school level.
