LEVELS OF PLAY:
It is the goal of the AYL lacrosse board to have like talent levels competing against each other each season. The AYL lacrosse board will make best effort towards dividing each age group into multiple conferences with the goal of playing like “talent” and “experience” levels against each other.
The Four Conferences will be: Red, Silver, White and Blue
The final placement of all teams in each age division will be at the discretion of the AYL Lacrosse board.
Red: The Red Conference is the most competitive level of play in the AYL and will have divisions from 3rd – 8th grade.
Silver: The Silver Conference is the next most competitive level of play and may have divisions from 3rd – 8th grade.
White: The White Conference is the next most competitive level of play and will have divisions from 1st – 8th grade.
Blue: The Blue Conference is intended as an early level of competition and new teams & will have divisions from 1st – 6th grade.
AYL TERRITORY ENFORCED:
The AYL is a community focused league. In the past, all sports but boys lacrosse have adhered to a strict in-territory/out-of-territory roster mix. For 2018, this policy will be extended to lacrosse. The roster mix for the upcoming season is 70% in territory for Blue, White and Silver level teams and 50% in territory for Red level teams. With the adoption of this policy, ALL rosters will go through an audit and sign off process to be conducted by the AYL Lacrosse Board.
To be considered in-territory, a player must:
- Live within the club's boundaries
- Attend a school within the club's boundaries
If you should have questions regarding your player's status, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
