Requirements for all 2018 GYL Coaches


1. Register - Deadline is March 1st for GYL to submit for USLacrosse numbers

2. Pass the CONNY online rules test



CONNY posts both the boys and girls online rules test before the startg of each season. The test will be available in late February/early March. It will be posted on the CONNY website: Or, you may click on the link below. The test is REQUIRED of all coaches before the start of each season. CONNY will post the names of coaches who pass the test.

3. Complete a Background Check
Please go to the link below and enter the requested information. Both US Lacrosse and GYL require coaches to have background checks.

4. Attend Positive Coaching Alliance night.
Friday, March 2nd, 6:30 pm at Eastern Middle School (Auditorium) 



GYL travel team coaches who were unable to attend the live workshop on February 28th must take the Double-Goal Coach: Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons online course. We encourage House League coaches to take the course as well. Get started now by clicking this link:

Additional Coaching Clinics


 US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 Clinics

US Lacrosse sponsors Level 1 and Level 2 coaches education clinics around the country. To view the schedule, go to the US Lacrosse website and follow the links to the Coaches Education Program from the home page. By 2015, all coaches must either attend a field clinic or pass a level 1 online course.
