Berkeley Heights PAL Soccer

Welcome to the PAL Soccer home page! PAL sponsors recreational soccer programs for boys and girls from 1st to 6th grade. All programs are fall only. There is NO spring season. Details for each age group are listed below.

 

First and Second grade in-town

The program is at Snyder Ave. Field on Saturday morning. There is an 8:30 to 10:00 game slot and a 10:00 to 11:30.  Boys play with boys and girls play with girls. Parent volunteer coaches use the first half hour of each session to teach skills and the next hour is a game. The teams play 4 vs. 4 with no goalies on a very small field. Likely start date is September 16, 2017.

 

Third and Fourth grade in-town

The program is at upper Columbia field on Saturday morning. There is a 9 to 10:30 game slot and a 10:30 to noon game slot. Teams are coed. Parent volunteer coaches use the first half hour of each session to teach skills and the next hour is a game. The teams play 7 vs. 7 with a goalie on a small-sided field.  Likely start date is September 16, 2017.

 

Fifth and (some) Sixth grade

Subject to player sign ups and parent volunteer coaches, PAL will sponsor teams in the Inter County Youth Soccer League. (icysl.net). Boys will play with boys and girls will play with girls. The teams will play 9 vs.9 on a small-sided field. The oldest players eligible to play on these teams will have a birth year of 2006.  Coaches will determine practice times. Games are typically played on Saturday or Sunday and will be home or away. Please review ICYSL website for likely away game sites. Please note that this program will require higher fees than the in-town programs. Likely first game date is September 10, 2017.
