Sean Sargent, President and co-founder, 8/9 yr old Girls Head Coach
Sean has had a stick in his hand since he was 14. He played his college lacrosse as a 2-year starter at defense for nationally ranked Villanova University, and played post-college for many top tier competitive clubs including 1 year of professional lacrosse for the Boston Blazers of the MILL. Sean was assistant coach for his high school alma mater, Fairfield Prep, and helped bring them to the CT state playoffs. Sean is a 10 year Hoboken resident, and is raising his two children here.
Richie MacDonnell, VP and Defensive Midfield & Faceoff Specialist
Richie is a graduate of Rutgers University where he excelled as their long stick middie. Prior to Rutgers, Richie played lacrosse at Cortland High School in Upstate New York. Richie is still playing competitive lacrosse in New Jersey summer leagues and tournaments. Richie is Vice President of Corporate Resolutions Inc., a New York based investigations firm. Richie is a 10 year Hoboken resident and is raising his three children here.
Allison McGinniss, 12/13 yr old Girls Head Coach
Allison is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College where she was an attacker and a captain of the team for all four years. She ended her college career with 80 goals. Allison started playing lacrosse in 7th grade and played at Randolph High School in Randolph, NJ. She has coached at both the youth and high school level, coaching 7/8th grade Randolph Recreation teams for two years and coaching the Elizabethtown Area High School Varsity Girl’s Lacrosse team for one season in Elizabethtown, PA. Allison currently works in publishing at John Wiley and Sons, Inc.
Emily Jaworski, 12/13 yr old Girls Assistant Coach
Emily is a recent graduate from the University of Alabama where she was a starting midfield for four years, and captain her senior year. Emily started playing lacrosse at Nardin Academy High School in Buffalo, NY. Emily is currently a Group Account Executive for the New Jersey Devils.
Guy Columbro, 7th/8th Grade Boys Head Coach
Guy grew up outside of Philadelphia and played 4 years of Varsity Lacrosse at Roman Catholic High School earning All Catholic Honors Junior and Senior year at the Attack position. Guy then continued his lacrosse career at Cabrini College as a Midfielder/Attack, a division III program based in Radnor, PA. After college, Guy coached at Upper Dublin High School in PA for 2 years, working with the LB3 All-Star Travel Program in the summer months. This is Guy's 3rd season with the Hoboken Lacrosse Club working closely with the 7th/8th grade Midfield and Attack.
Brian Carroll, 7th/8th Grade Boys Assistant Coach
Coach BC primarily works with the Boys 7/8 Defense & Face-offs. Prior to moving to Hoboken in 2009, Brian was an assistant coach for 6 seasons at Georgetown Prep in Bethesda, MD. He is a 2002 graduate of University of Maryland, where he was a face-off midfielder & 4-year letterman for the Terps. Originally from Lynbrook, NY, Brian played high school lacrosse at Chaminade on Long Island.
Mark DeCirce, 7th/8th Grade Boys Assistant Coach
Mark is a graduate of Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, where he was a 2-year team captain and leading scorer for the Golden Flyers, selected as All-American and Conference Player of the Year his senior year. Originally from Binghamton, NY, Mark grew up with a lacrosse stick in hand and continues to be a part of the game wherever possible. Mark currently resides in Hoboken and works for a cybersecurity company in NYC.
Alicia Marcum, 10/11 yr old Girls Head Coach
Alicia was born and raised in Florida where she began her lacrosse journey by starting the girl’s team as a freshman in high school. Alicia went on to play in the Osprey Women’s Lacrosse Club at the University of North Florida. AT UNF, she volunterred the Youth Programs. This program introduced kids to the sport as lacrosse as it was just starting to grow in the south. Alicia works at the IT Global Sales Division for Usablenet in NYC.
Taylor Hogarth, 5th/6th Grade Boys Head Coach
Taylor is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ where he was a starter at midfield. Taylor received a captain designation his senior year and helped lead FDU to a NCAA tournament berth. Prior to receiving his Degree in Business Management from FDUU, Taylor grew up in Westfield, NJ where he began his lacrosse career at an early age. Taylor has previously coached with the Morris Select Lacrosse and Westfield Youth Lacrosse programs. Taylor runs a Life Insurance and Financial Planning practice in Saddle Brook, NJ. Taylor is an avid golfer and currently resides in Jersey City, NJ.
Jimmy Vaughan, 5th/6th Grade Boys Coach
Jimmy grew up in Ridgewood, NJ. He now lives in Hoboken. Jimmy learned the sport of lacrosse from his dad who played in college. Jimmy has been playing lacrosse for over 20 years and has been coaching for 15 years. He played club lacrosse at the University of Scranton.
TJ DeSantis, 3rd/4th Grade Boys Head Coach
TJ is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. At Buffalo, he was a 5 year starter on defense and President of the club lacrosse team. He played high school lacrosse in South Huntington, NY. This is TJ's fourth year with the Hoboken Lacrosse Club and second year coaching the 3rd/4th grade boys team.
Nick Pizzo, 3rd/4th Grade Boys Assistant Coach
Nick started playing Lacrosse in 2001 with the N. Brunswick youth lacrosse programs and the S. Brunswick middle school lacrosse team. In High School, Pizzo’s family had moved to Atlanta where he played Varsity Boys Lacrosse all four years, earning All-State Honorable Mention long-stick mid-fielder in 2008. In College, Pizzo first played club lacrosse at Georgia State University. He was then recruited to play NCAA DIII lacrosse at Oglethorpe University where he earned All-Conference long-stick mid-fielder in 2013. Following college graduation, Pizzo moved to Shanghai, China, where he played for Shanghai’s Men’s team; touring throughout SE Asia while competing in multiple tournaments. In 2014 and 2015, Pizzo coached Team China Men’s Lacrosse team in the nation's debut year to the World Lacrosse Championships. Pizzo’s coaching philosophy is not just about lacrosse, it’s about life: Grind it out & take it to the house."
