Coaching youth sports is one of the great pleasures in life.

West Seattle Junior Football and Cheer has great coaches, but we could always use more. We welcome anyone who has the desire and commitment to make a positive impact on the youth in our community.

If you’re interested in coaching, review the five requirements below and contact .

2017 Coaching Requirements

  1. Commit to the Wildcat program and philosophy.

  2. Pass the background check. The background check is conducted by NJFL. They have selected The National Center for Safety Initiatives as the screening company. (Contact or for the Self Registration Id Number.)

  3. Complete the USA Football – Tackle Coach Certification course.

  4. Register and attend NJFL Certification Training

    • *Saturday, June 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Eastside Catholic high school.

    • Tuesday, July 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Archbishop Murphy high school.

    • *Saturday, August 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Bellevue Christian high school.

  5. Register and attend the Positive Coaching Allaince training

    • *Saturday, June 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eastside Catholic high school

    • Wednesday, July 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Eastside Catholic high school

    • Thursday, July 20 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Archbishop Murphy high school.

    • Thursday, July 27 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cedar Park Church.

    • *Saturday, August 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bellevue Christian high school.

*PCA and NFJL training are on the same date and at the same location.
