Ground Transportation - 14s & Older
We have included chartered bus service by Starline / Beeline this season as part the Travel Fee, 14s and older teams. The buses will leave from The Lair sometime between 1:30 and 3:00PM on Thursday. The buses will be utilized throughout the weekend for team outings, and to shuttle the ahletes to and from the competition facilities. The athletes wil head back to The Lair on the buses after the conclusion of the last team match, bapproximately 3:00PM.
Some teams will finish their competition and officiating assingments earlier in the day. If a family would like to have their athlete ride home with them instead of waiting for the bus to depart in the afternoon, they must inform the team coaches, and check out with the coaches before departing on their way home. For any athlete that wishes to ride home with another family's parent(s), they must have a written note from their parents clearing them to ride home with the other athlete's parent. The note can be in the form of an email sent to the coaches and cc'ing firstname.lastname@example.org. Again, the athlete must check out with the coaches before they head out on their way home.
Team Logistics Information
When the cahrtered bus arrives at the hotel in Spokane, one of the coaches will be in charge of checking in to all of the team rooms. While this is being done, the bus, coaches and athletes will head to Wal-Mar, just 10 minutes from the hotel. The athletes are encouraged to purchase food and snacks that they can store in their hotel rooms and take with them to the competition facility. The hotel has breakfast food options as well.
