Princeton Youth Hockey Association membership is open to the public. Tryout fees are non-refundable.
Participation in tryouts will not be permitted without the receipt of tryout application payment. In addition, any member with an outstanding payment balance from the previous season (for any AAHA member organization) will not be permitted to roster on a PYHA team until the outstanding debt is paid. There will be no exceptions to this policy. If you have questions regarding your account standing, please contact our treasurer at
Upon notification of participant's initial team placement at the end of the tryout period, on-line registration will be required to accept the roster spot upon notification of offer. If the roster spot is not accepted within 24 hours, PYHA reserves the right to offer the roster spot to another participant. Acceptance of the roster spot requires payment of at least fifty (50) percent of the registration fee.
The participant has the option of paying the registration fee in full at the time of the roster spot offer, or the registration fee can split into two (2) payments - 50% due at acceptance of the roster spot and the balance due not later than September 1st (Midgets due August 1st)--NO EXCEPTIONS. PYHA reserves the right to remove any player from its rosters that has not paid his registration fee by the dates prescribed. Please note that any player with an outstanding balance after 12/31 and has not made arrangements with the PYHA Treasurer will have their name added to the AAHA Delinquent Financial Obligation list that is circulated to all AAHA member organizations prior to tryouts for the next season. Additionally, that player will be unable to practice or play subsequent to 12/31 until the delinquent account has been resolved.
Princeton Youth Hockey Association has a financial assistance program for those that meet the requirements. Please see the Financial Assistance section of our website for more information (located under the 2017-2018 SEASON tab at the top of the webpage).
The Princeton Youth Hockey Association does not require players to sign contracts - we are a youth hockey program. Players accepting a roster spot are however, considered a member of the association. Refunds for players electing to leave the association prior to the start of the season may be granted if, and when that roster spot is filled at the discretion of the PYHA Board of Directors.
