Towns will provide balanced teams within divisions that strive to compete successfully against league opponents.
All players and coaches must be members of US Lacrosse.
Town Directors will make their best effort to recruit qualified and appropriate coaches and provide training for them. Each Town Program will ensure that all their coaches have passed a CORI check.
Each Town Program will encourage coach participation in FGLL and US Lacrosse Coaches Education Clinics. FGLL supports and encourages its coaches to become certified USL coaches. FGLL understands it takes a period of time to go through the USL process and, at a minimum, it requires coaches to attend one of the FGLL-sponsored coaches clinics.
Each Town Program must have at least one representative at every FGLL meeting. A Town Director may consistently bring a second attendee or send a coach as a replacement if necessary. Each Town Director will introduce his/her successor when appropriate.
Each Town Director must register their teams for the season and the Jamboree by the published deadlines. Payment for all teams is due at the time of registration. Late fees will apply.
Town Directors will strive to create long-lasting Town Programs that reflect the philosophies of FGLL.
Town Directors who cannot fulfill these responsibilities will have their Town Program’s FGLL membership placed on probation through the end of that year’s Spring Season. At that time, a 2/3 vote of the membership can vote to expel the Town Program from FGLL.
