Often an overlooked aspect of the Little League program, umpiring is one of the most important. The volunteer umpire is as much a part of Little League as the volunteer manager, coach or concession stand worker. In the past, the brunt of umpiring duties has fallen on the managers and coaches, who already have very busy game and practice schedules.
DLL hopes to build up a "pool" of qualified volunteer umpires, as many other communities have, that are willing to umpire Little League games on a regular basis. DLL will provide all required training and equipment. After volunteering for two years, the equipment is yours to keep.
All umpires are required to submit a Volunteer Form. This form is located on the "Documents" page. The form must include a scanned image of your drivers license.
