The Berkeley Lacrosse Club's goal is to provide boys and girls of almost any age, from anywhere in the East Bay, the opportunity to learn and play the wonderful sport of lacrosse.

Berkeley Lacrosse Club complies with the NCJLA and US Lacrosse rules and will form teams based on age for both our fall and spring programs, see the age group reference table.

2018 Summer Skills Camp

Berkeley Lacrosse Club Summer Camp will take place at the Tom Bates Field in Berkeley August 13-17, 2018 from 8 am - 12 noon each day.  Camp will be for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 (1st - 9th grades).  Summer Camp will emphasize skills development with lots of instruction and fun.  Both returning players looking to polish their skills and new players who want to try out lacrosse are welcome.  Campers will be separated into groups by age and skill, no previous lacrosse experience is required.

Campers will need full lacrosse gear and sticks, gear may be available for rental at an additional fee through our normal gear rental program later this summer.

In 2018, registration will be $210. Siblings receive a $25 discount.  


Spring 2018

Registration for the 2018 Spring Season opened October 7, 2017.  We provide girls and boys in grades 1-8 the opportunity to play lacrosse. We have first time players on teams at every age level and new players are welcome.  Registration will close when capacity is reached and no later than February 1, 2018.  Contact us at with any questions.

Earlybird Discount - All registrations completed by Sunday, November 5 will receive a $50 Earlybird Discount.

Sibling Discount - We have increased the sibling discount to $50, so sign up that younger brother or sister!

Also, we LOVE to give scholarships to athletes coming out for lacrosse. 


We want to encourage all interested players to come out for the team, scholarships are available!   Please   if you need to make arrangements for a payment plan.

2018 Proposed Spring Practice Schedule

Because our home field at Tom Bates is being replaced this winter (yay!), we have secured practice space on Sundays at Berkeley High School and during the week in the BYA gym at 1255 Allston Way through the anticipated reopening of Tom Bates on March 5. Once we get back on our field, 14U players should anticipate practicing 3 times per week; 12U and 10U players 2 times per week and 8U players once per week.

Game schedules will not be available until January, however there will generally be 1-2 games per weekend every weekend from the beginning of March until early May.  Home games may be held Saturday mornings at Tom Bates Field or Sunday afternoons at Berkeley High School. Away games may be held at other times during the weekend and are generally less than a 1 hour drive from Berkeley.

Volunteer Deposit

Each family is responsible for a volunteer deposit of $100. The $100 deposit is reimbursed upon completion of 6 volunteer hours.  Families will select from available volunteer opportunities during registration, so make sure to review the list of volunteer duties in advance. Note: only one volunteer deposit is required per family.  Volunteer hours/deposits run on a September 1 - August 31 schedule and there are no partial refunds.

Fall Ball 2017



6 - 14 (grades 1-9)



Fall Ball will take place Sunday afternoons between September 17 to October 29, 2017 at the Ocean View Field in Albany.  The schedule is as follows:

All Girls Age Groups - 12:30 - 2:30 pm

All Boys Age Groups -  3 - 5 pm

Players will be grouped by age and/or skill level.  Registration opens August 10.  Siblings receive a $20 discount on registration.  Scholarships are available to cover registration fees ONLY; they do not cover US Lacrosse membership or gear rental.

US Lacrosse membership is required and costs $30 per year.  You will have a opportunity to set up membership and pay (direct to US Lacrosse) during the registration process.

Uniforms are not required for Fall Ball, but normal gear is required.  Limited gear may be available for an additional fee through our Gear Rental program.  A full set of boys' gear costs $30 for the season. A full set of girls' gear costs $10 for the season.
