Pottstown Mercury Sports HILL HOCKEY PROGRAM TO GET UNDERWAY
The Hill rink will officially open Monday for the start of another Peewee hockey season. The first Penguin practice session will be held Friday, Nov. 18.
There have been several changes made since last year. First of all is the admittance into the Delaware Valley Hockey League, and the Penguins will enter a team in two divisions.
One league will be the ponies, all boys who were nine years old or younger as of May 31, 1966. This group will practice at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday mornings. The second group is the Peewees, or all boys age 11 or under as of May 31 of this year.
This group will practice at 7:00 p.m. Friday's.

IF ENOUGH BOYS, ages 12 and 13 years old show up, a number of peewees may be supplemented to fill out a team and this group may be able to enter a team in the Bantam division. The older boys would no be able to participate in the 10 regular league games however.
The league expects to get accident insurance for each squad member, and also to have impartial officials for each league game. For these reasons, each member is asked to contribute a fee of $5.00 to cover costs and league dues, etc.
Each member playing in the league games will be asked to submit official proof of his birth date.
Each boy is expected to provide his own skates, stick and gloves. The team will provide shin pads, helmets and uniforms.
Coaches will be Messrs.: Gosnell, Lea and Little of The Hill School faculty.
