Boys U09 - U11


Basic Information

WHYSA Boys Travel is part of the CJSA and play in the Central / North Central Travel League

Player equipment

Ball size 4
Shin Guards
Club uniform: home jersey, shorts, socks and practice tee

Teams practices twice a week, weather permitting
Players will wear travel gear at all times to practice (shirts, shorts, socks)
Players are required to bring equipment at all times
Practice fiields depend on the coach's schedule and field availability


Games are played on both Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting
Typically, Friendly Games are on Saturday and League Games are on Sunday
Players are required to bring equipment at all times
No heading permitted
No punting permitted
3 line rule apply

Cup Games
Cup games start at U11
Games typically are played on Saturdays
Game length: two 35 min halves, ball size 4
OT: two 10 min periods
Penalty kicks if still tied after 2nd OT (except for the Cup Final)

Teams usually play one tournament per season
Fall: Labor Day and/or Columbus Day weekend
Spring: Memorial Day and/or mid June

Play 7v7
Game duration U8-10: two 25 min halves
Field size: 55yds x 35yds

Coaches and players must have player passes
Coaches and players are stationed on one side of the field
Parents and spectators are required to be on the opposite side of coaches/players


Travel Fees:

  • Professional Coaching Fee per seasons which includes:
  • Practice twice a week for the length of the fall and spring seasons.  Practice begins as soon as the town allow the youth group to get on the fields
  • Coaching at all leagues/friendly/cup games and tournaments. 
  • Tournament fees - one in-state tournament during each season.
